Honda N7X 7-Seater SUV Will Beat Hyundai Alcazar? India Launch At Rs 12 Lakh? (Details Leaked)


The production-ready version will reportedly debut in August this year.

The Honda N7X concept was unveiled back in May which was to be Honda’s latest 7-seater SUV.

It is to be released in Indonesia as a substitute for the BR-V.

However, there is no word yet of its arrival in India.

Debut And Competition

Even if a launch in the subcontinent is imminent, it will likely be pitted against MG Hector Plus, Tata Safari and the Hyundai Alcazar.

The production-ready version will reportedly debut in August this year.

Before the launch, some details have been leaked regarding the variant and its engine options.

Trims

According to the leaks, the expanded lineup will include four trim levels – S, E, Prestige and Prestige HS.

The Honda N7X Prestige HS variant will likely feature the eponymous Honda Sensing (HS) technology.

This is Honda’s proprietary advanced driver assist system (ADAS).

Powertrain Options

Coming to the engine, it will have a 1.5L petrol motor with 6-speed manual and CVT automatic gearbox options.

The entry-level model will be offered with only manual transmission whereas the higher-end versions will be offered with optional automatic gearbox.

It could sport a 1.0L, 3-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine with a power output of 121 bhp and 175 Nm of torque.

Rumors have also been circulating that a hybrid powertrain could be released some time after the launch. 

Exteriors

Coming to the exteriors, it can be expected to be fitted with a multi-slat chrome-laden grille with wraparound LED headlamps on both sides and the company logo at centre.

It will also feature a muscular bonnet, a blacked-out air vent, a roof-mounted spoiler, and a shark-fin antenna.

Interiors

The interior will include a 7-seater cabin with a multifunctional steering wheel and automatic climate control.

Other features inside include touchscreen infotainment system with Android or iOS connectivity, multiple airbags and ABS with EBD or Electronic Brakeforce Distribution.

Pricing is expected to be in the ballpark of Rs 12 lakhs
