After a lot of anticipation, Hyundai Alcazar has finally been launched in the Indian automobile market. 

The car’s prominent competitors include MG Hector Plus, Mahindra XUV500, and the newly launched Tata Safari as well.

Hyundai Finally Launches Alcazar In Indian Automobile Market

In May, we reported to you that unofficial bookings of the car have already begun across select dealerships. The booking amount was set at Rs. 25000.

As per reports by the South Korean multinational automotive manufacturer, there were about 4,000 bookings for the Alcazar, half of which was for the automatic variant, and the other half were for manual gearbox versions. 

The car has been offered in three trim levels, viz., Prestige, Platinum, and Signature. Additionally, there also are six colors offered, such as Taiga Brown, Typhoon Silver, Polar White, Titan Grey, Phantom Black, and Starry Night. Of these, the white and grey colors will also come with a dual-tone scheme. 

For the seven seat cabin, there will be a bench seat for the second row. The six seat version will come with unique captain seats that come with a dual tone shade finish, a dedicated armrest with cup holders, and a provision for wireless mobile phone charging. 

Hyundai Alcazar: Specifications, Prices, Features

The petrol variant is equipped with a  2.0-liter naturally aspirated petrol engine from the Elantra sedan and the Tucson SUV which will put out 159 Ps and has 192 Nm of torque.

The diesel engine variant is a 1.5-litre diesel engine that has 115 Ps and a torque of 250 Nm. Both are combined with either a six-speed manual or a six-speed automatic gearbox which will transmit power to the front wheels alone.

As for the features of the car, it lends a lot of personal space and legroom for passengers inside in the middle and last rows as well. Along with that, the car will come with a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system that has Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, ventilated seats, panoramic sunroof, automatic climate control, wireless charging and drive modes.

The SUV’s starting price for the petrol version is Rs 16.30 lakh, whereas the diesel version is priced from Rs 16.53 lakh (ex-showroom, India).
