After Vaccine Finder, Paytm Launches Vaccination Slot Booking Feature
Paytm Had recently announced its Vaccine Finder service on the app and has now added the vaccination slot booking feature as well. Through this feature Paytm users can now search, discover and also book vaccination slots for themselves.
As per the spokesperson of Paytm, “It is our endeavor to help India come out of this pandemic a lot stronger. Our vaccine finder will help citizens seamlessly book slots at the nearest center and get vaccinated.”
Apparently, the new feature has been launched by Paytm as a part of its Covid-19 relief measures. Previously, under its #OxygenForLife initiative, Paytm has also donated Oxygen concentrators. The company that is mainly known for digital wallet, e-commerce, payment system, and financial services is also setting up oxygen plants in government hospitals across the country.
Book A Vaccination Slot Through Paytm; How Does It Work?
Both the Covaxin and Covishield vaccines can be booked through the newly launched feature on the Paytm app.
The vaccination had been opened for everyone in May, and at the same time, Paytm too had launched the Vaccine Finder feature on its app. This feature came with filtering options as well and helped people with information about vaccination slots. Such information included the type of vaccine and the fee that was charged for it.
As per Paytm, Paytm users have checked for the availability of vaccination slots through this feature over the last several weeks.
And now that the booking option has also been made available on the app, Paytm users can also book their vaccination slot from the app itself.
As per reports, the application uses COWIN integration and collects data about the vaccination centers. Paytm users will be required to register on the app with their phone number wherein they can also locate the centers via pin codes or the name of the district.
After this, they will be required to select their age group and will also be asked if they are booking a slot for the first dose or the second one.
