Hyundai Alcazar Interiors Revealed; Official Bookings Start Across India (Launch Date, Price

Hyundai officially announced that it has started accepting bookings for the Hyundai Alcazar ahead of its launch on June 18, 2021.

And if you are interested, you can now book the same for an amount of Rs 25,000, either via dealerships or through Hyundai’s Click to Buy online sales portal.

The Korean brand is drip-feeding more details about its upcoming three-row SUV. If you’re reading this, then let’s find out what Alcazar has in store for you!

Hyundai has also unveiled the new Alcazar’s interiors, giving us a clear view of the cabin arrangement.

Seat

The Creta is a five-seater SUV whereas Hyundai will offer either a 6-seater version with captain seats or a 7-seater version with bench seats for the middle row. If you opt for the 6-seater version with captain seats, there’s even a floor-mounted central armrest with additional storage and that’s a premium touch.

Speaking of the third row of seats, given that the Alcazar has the longest wheelbase in class, space is pretty decent, although not very generous.

In the third row, the seats get a reclining function and they also fold down completely flat to provide better boot space.

Colour Scheme

The cabin is done in a black and ‘Cognac’ brown dual-tone colour scheme on the seats, door cards, and dashboard.

Behind the front seats of the SUV, there’s also a handy fold-out table with a cup holder.

The Alcazar will be well-equipped on the equipment front, with top-spec trims including two 10.25-inch displays, one for the digital instrument cluster (a segment first) and the other for the touchscreen infotainment system.

It will Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, Hyundai’s connected car tech, a 360-degree camera, an eight-speaker Bose sound system, 64-colour ambient lighting, a panoramic sunroof, an air purifier, ISOFIX seat mounts, wireless phone charging, automatic climate control.

Engine 

The three-row Alcazar will be powered by either gasoline or diesel engines.

The petrol engine is a powerful version of the 2.0-litre four-cylinder unit seen in the Elantra and Tucson, with 159hp and 192Nm of torque (7hp more).

Whereas the diesel engine is the same 1.5-litre, a four-cylinder turbocharged unit from the Creta – producing 115hp and 250Nm with some changes.

Both engines are available with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic gearbox.
