Whatsapp is currently working on a new feature which will allow users to log on to the platform by verification using automatic call feature.

The feature in works and currently available on Whatsapp Beta, is termed as ‘Flash Calls’ and will fasten the process of user verification while logging onto the platform. It will do this by allowing users to get an automatic call verification, while logging into the app.

Whatsapp Flash Calls Feature

Whatsapp is known to be working on a new feature which aims to speed-up the process of logging onto the platform, reports WABetaInfo.

The feature called Flash Calls, is available on Whatsapp beta in the Android 2.21.11.7 update.

For Android users, Whatsapp will call on the entered number and end the call using the automatic verification method. It will then the last phone number in your phone logs and check if it matches the registered number.

Whatsapp claims that it would not use the accessed call history for any other purpose. Additionally, the user will have to give the applicant the consent to make and manage calls and access to your phone’s log during the verification process.

The report published also adds that ‘the phone number will be different each time which will ensure a safe experience while verifying your account’.

It must be noted that this feature will not be introduced for iOS users, as Apple does not offer access for any public API to read the call history.

Whatsapp Voice Notes Can Now be Fast-Forwarded
