Borosil Will Pay Salary For 2 Years If Any Employee Dies Due To Covid-19: Thank You Borosil

At a time when the 2nd wave of Corona virus has hit entire India, and daily infections have touched 400,000 mark, there is a noble, humanitarian gesture by an Indian company that has touched hearts.

Borosil has declared that they will pay salary for 2 years if any employee dies due to corona virus.

This message was shared by Borosil’s managing director, as four of their employees died due to the deadly virus.

Borosil’s Humanitarian Gesture

While announcing this noble gesture, Borosil’s managing director informed that in case any employee dies due to covid 19, their families will receive salary for two years.

Along with that, the company will take care of their kid’s education till graduation, and handle all healthcare needs for the entire family.

Their head of marketing too shared the same message on Linkedin.

Borosil’s managing director, Shreevar Kheruka said, “I strongly believe that the real assets of Borosil are not reflected on our Balance Sheet at all. We need to protect these assets in whatever way we can. I hope this move is a step in that direction.”

Why This Is A Big, Noble Gesture?

Established in 1962, Borosil is not a big company. In 2017, they reported an annual turnover of Rs 600 crore, and less than 200 employees work with Borosil.

Their main business is glassware, and recently they have ventured into renewable energy related products such as solar glass.

By announcing financial security for their deceased employees, Borosil has shown what corporate responsibility means, and how corporates can help their employees during such distress times.

We hope other organizations too come forward, and help their employees and their families to manage this crisis in a better way.

After all, humans are the biggest, most important assets for any organization.

Thank you Borosil for restoring faith in humanity.
