Vistara Offers Free Air Tickets For These Doctors, Nurses; Asks Passengers To Travel Only If Urgent
In a noble gesture, Tata-owned airlines Vistara has rolled out free air travel for all doctors and nurses associated with Govt organization.
Besides, in an unprecedented move, they have issued advisory for all passengers: Travel only when needed.
Free Air Travel By Vistara For Govt Doctors
Vistara is offering free air travel for all doctors and nurses, who are associated with Govt organizations.
This free travel is valid for entire India, and depends on first come first serve basis.
Besides, Vistara has offered their cargo facilities for any medical or emergency requirement, pan-India.
In an urgent letter to Usha Padhee, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Civil Aviation, Vistara said, “…we want to help government organisations/hospitals in immediate need of air logistics. We welcome requests from accredited organisations representing the Government of India and state governments/union territories. We will evaluate these to extend as much support as possible, based on the availability of cargo space,”
With the overwhelming number of active covid cases, it is imperative that we all remain cautious & follow all safety precautions diligently. We urge you to travel only if necessary and if you do, please follow all safety protocols which help us in keeping the skies safe for you! pic.twitter.com/H2TNgRtnNZ

Vistara Asks Passengers To Travel Only in Emergency
Besides, in a shocking move, Vistara has asked all passengers to only travel if needed.
This can result to huge losses for the airlines: If the passengers are not flying, how will Vistara make money?
But despite this, they have pleaded to all passengers that if their air travel is not necessary, then don’t travel.
We all appreciate this gesture by Vistara.
Stay safe, wear masks, and let’s fight this pandemic together. Usha Padhee, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Civil Aviation
