Asus ZenFone 8 series has been officially confirmed, it will launch on May 12. Asus may unveil three devices powered by the Snapdragon 888 chipset. The new addition to the series, a toned-down ZenFone 8 Mini will also launch, a trend as OnePlus 9R or iPhone 12 mini. The series has been leaked on a number of occasions, and Asus ZenFone 8 Mini will launch alongside ZenFone 8 and ZenFone 8 Pro. The specifications have been spotted on Geekbench.

Redmi 10, Redmi Note 10S will launch in India soon. Redmi 10 series may include four to five smartphones just as last year, all will be inspired heavily by Redmi Note 10 series lineup at a budget pricing around Rs 10,000.

Speculated Realme 8 Pro 5G Geekbench listing confirms 8GB of RAM and Android 11 operating system on Realme UI 2.0 skin. The upcoming Realme phone will be 8.8mm thick and will come with a 6.5-inch display. The Realme 5G phone will be backed by a 4880mAh battery along with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and a quad rear camera system.

Asus ZenFone 8 Mini

Asus ZenFone 8 Mini will launch on May 12 alongside ZenFone 8 and ZenFone 8 Pro. The Mini specs have already been spotted on Geekbench. The upcoming Asus flagship will be powered by the Snapdragon 888 SoC. It will feature a 5.9-inch Full HD+ display offering 120Hz refresh rate without any notch or bezels. The device will follow the same design with the camera, a revolving 64-megapixel camera setup. 

Both the ZenFone 8 and ZenFone 8 Pro will also be powered by Snapdragon 888 SoC, with larger screens, maybe a few more features and batteries. Though, the rest of the hardware is expected to remain on all three smartphones.

Realme 8 Pro 5G

Unnamed Realme phone with Snapdragon 750G has been spotted, expected to be Realme 8 Pro 5G. The company will launch Realme 8 5G smartphone in the country later this week, but as per the incoming reports, the company may also unveil the 5G model of the Pro version as well. The TENAA certification with model number RMX3161 confirms the existence. The RMX3161 model has also been spotted on Geekbench platform. The key specifications have been leaked out along with the processor and RAM information.

Realme RMX3161 model will be run on Qualcomm’s mid-range 5G chip, the Snapdragon 750G processor. It is listed to run at a base frequency of 1.80GHz and will pack in eight cores. The source code revealed the chip will pair with Adreno 619 GPU. The expected Realme 8 Pro 5G scored 657 in single-core test and 1940 in multi-core test.

iQOO 7, iQOO 7 Legend

iQOO 7 series will launch in India, prices in India said to start at Rs 34,990, leaked in an Amazon listing. iQOO 7 series will be available via Amazon India, confirmed. iQOO 7 Legend recently scored a massive 831,200 in the recently leaked AnTuTu benchmark test. The upcoming iQOO phone is powered by the top-end Qualcomm flagship Snapdragon 888 SoC paired with 12GB RAM. iQOO 7 Legend India launch will happen later this month, and become the most powerful Android phone in India. iQOO 7 Legend is going to be one of the top-end flagships to look out for in the country soon.

iQOO has confirmed that the upcoming iQOO 7 series will be priced under Rs 40,000 in India. iQOO 7 series in India will consist of the standard iQOO 7 (said to launch as iQOO Neo 5 in India) and the top-end iQOO 7 Legend.

Mi 11 Ultra 

Mi 11 Ultra is now available in India for Rs 69,999. It features a quad-curved 6.81-inch 2K WQHD+ E4 AMOLED display with a 1.1-inch (126×294 pixels) AMOLED secondary display at the back which supports always-on mode. Mi 11 Ultra is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC with Adreno 660 GPU, up to 12GB LPDDR5 RAM and up to 512GB UFS 3.1 storage. Mi 11 Ultra packs in a triple rear camera including a 50-megapixel Samsung GN2 primary wide-angle sensor.

It further has two 48-megapixel Sony IMX586 ultra-wide-angle and tele-macro camera sensors with an f/2.2 lens and a 128-degree Field of View (FoV) Mi 11 Ultra supports 8K video recording at 24fps with all the three sensors. Mi 11 Ultra is backed  by a 5,000mAh battery with 67W wired and wireless fast charging support, and 10W reverse wireless charging.  

Mi 11X  

Mi 11X has launched in India starting at Rs 29,999, a rebranded Redmi K40. It features a 6.67-inch E4 AMOLED Full HD+ display offering 120Hz refresh rate, 360Hz touch response, a tiny 2.76mm punch-hole cutout and a 3.5mm slim bottom bezel. The Redmi phone is powered by Snapdragon 870 SoC coupled with 8GB RAM and up to 256GB storage. It is further expandable with an external microSD card. Mi 11X runs on Android 11 based MIUI 12 custom skin out of the box. In terms of optics, Mi 11X houses a 48MP AI triple camera system at the back.

It includes a 48MP primary sensor, an 8MP wide-angle lens and a 5MP macro lens. Upfront, the device features a 20MP camera. It has an in-display fingerprint sensor, 4,520mAh battery, and 33W fast-charging support. It has stereo speakers, Dolby Atmos, High-Res audio, and IP53 for dust and water resistance.l

Mi 11X Pro 

Mi 11X Pro launched in India starting at Rs 39,999, rebranded Redmi K40+. It comes with a 6.67-inch E4 AMOLED display offering 120Hz refresh rate along with 1,300 nits peak brightness. Mi 11X Pro is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC coupled with Adreno 660 GPU, up to 12GB RAM and 512GB storage. Mi 11X Pro runs on Android 11 based MIUI 12 custom skin out of the box. The device houses a 4,520mAh battery with support for 33W fast-charging. 

Mi 11X Pro has a triple camera system flaunting a 108MP Samsung HM2 primary sensor along with a 8MP ultra wide and 5MP depth camera. The device has a 20MP sensor upfront along with an in-display fingerprint scanner.

Google Pixel 5a 5G

Google Pixel 5a is making news again. An image has been leaked in a blogpost, not the image of the device, but a picture taken by the Google smartphone. Google is said to have accidentally shared a photo taken with the device way back in October last year. It’s probably from an early software build and older Google Camera release, and the Pixel 5a photo has a screen resolution of 4032 × 3024 pixels. It’s supposed to pack in the same 12.2MP sensor with upgraded software with an aperture of f/2.2, 16mm focal length, hinting at an ultra wide-angle camera.

Pixel 5a specs will remain in the budget category as the current Pixel 4a.  After failing for years, Google finally got it right with the Pixel 4 series, and it ended up as a big hit across categories. The company will follow the same route as the previous generation, and Pixel 5a will directly go against the stalwarts in the entry premium category.

Redmi Note 10 5G

Redmi Note 10 5G launch globally could happen soon including India. Redmi Note 10 5G comes a 6.5-inch Full HD+ LCD display with a punch-hole cutout, 20:9 aspect ratio, 1,100nits brightness, 90Hz refresh rate, Corning Gorilla Glass 3 and 500nits brightness. It’s powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC paired with Mali-G57 MC2 GPU, 4GB RAM and 128GB UFS 2.2 storage alongside expandable memory. The phone runs on Android 11-based MIUI 12 custom skin on top. 

In terms of optics, Redmi Note 10 5G comes with a triple rear camera system featuring a 48MP primary sensor, a 2MP depth sensor and a 2MP macro lens. Upfront the device has an 8MP snapper, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, IR blaster and Hi-Res audio. It packs a 5,000mAh battery with 18W fast charging support.

Redmi 10 Series: Redmi 10, Redmi 10A, Redmi 10 Pro

Redmi 10 series will soon be launching in the country, all set to succeed Redmi 9 series from last year. Xiaomi unveiled 5 phones under the Redmi 9 series in 2020, which included Redmi 9, Redmi 9A, Redmi 9i and Redmi 9 Prime. So, Redmi 10 series is expected to include four to five phones as well. Redmi 10 series will be heavily inspired by the Redmi Note 10 line with a set of budget specs. Redmi 10-series phones will ship with Android 11-based MIUI and Full HD+ display.

As per the reports, the EVOL design language launched with Redmi Note 10 series could also be used on the upcoming Redmi 10 series lineup. Redmi 10 price in India is expected to start at around Rs 10,000 for the whole series.

Redmi Note 10S 

Xiaomi will soon unveil Redmi Note 10S in the country as a part of the Redmi Note 10 series. Redmi Note 10S will be available in three colour options: White, Grey, and Blue. Redmi Note 10S will ship in three storage variants: 6GB RAM with 64GB storage, 6GB RAM with 128GB storage and 8GB RAM with 128GB storage. Redmi Note 10S India launch will happen in a few weeks. Redmi Note 10S has already been launched globally. The phone features a similar centre-aligned punch-hole camera, quad-camera system in the same rectangular module as Redmi Note 10.

Redmi Note 10S phone features a 6.43-inch AMOLED screen with Full HD+ resolution. The device is powered by the MediaTek Helio G95 chipset. Redmi Note 10S is backed by a 5,000mAh battery and supports 33W fast charging. The rear camera system has a 64MP primary sensor, an 8MP wide-angle lens, a 2MP macro camera, and a 2MP depth sensor.

OnePlus Nord 2

OnePlus Nord 2 launch is on cards, may happen by May. Some major OnePlus Nord 2 details are out, and for the first time, a OnePlus smartphone will be powered by a MediaTek chipset. OnePlus Nord 2 launch will happen in Q2 2021 and it will be powered by MediaTek’s top flagship, the Dimensity 1200 5G chipset. It’s the first time a OnePlus phone will come without a Qualcomm chipset. OnePlus Nord continues to be a best-seller in it’s category. The upcoming OnePlus phone will run on MediaTek Dimensity 1200 chipset.

It will pair with upto 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, improved cameras, display and battery. OnePlus Nord 2 will probably feature a 64MP main camera inside a quad camera system. The Dimensity 1200 chipset is built on a 6nm node and features Cortex A78 and A55 cores. OnePlus Nord 2 will have a faster Fluid AMOLED display with a refresh of 120Hz instead of the 90Hz on the original Nord.
