OnePlus Nord Launch Coming Up Soon; Will Come With MediaTek Chipset

As we all know, OnePlus Nord was the first OnePlus phone to feature a chipset other than the flagship Snapdragon 800 series. And for the first time, a OnePlus smartphone, the OnePlus Nord 2, will be powered by a MediaTek chipset. 

OnePlus Nord 2 will come with a big hardware upgrade. The upcoming OnePlus phone will run on MediaTek Dimensity 1200 chipset with upto 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, improved cameras, display, and battery. OnePlus Nord 2 will probably feature a 64MP main camera inside a quad camera system.

Additionally, the price of the OnePlus Nord 2 in India may start at the same Rs 24,999 tag for the base model. 

The Dimensity 1200 chipset is built on a 6nm node and features Cortex A78 and A55 cores. Additionally, the chipset is 5G and WiFi 6 capable.

Display, Camera, Battery Of OnePlus Nord 2

Coming to the display of the phone, OnePlus Nord 2 will have a faster Fluid AMOLED display with a refresh of 120Hz which was 90Hz on the OnePlus Nord. while the phone appears similar, the phone’s showcased measures  162.9 x 74.7 x 8.4mm, which is a bit thinner than the Nord 10.

It will feature a hole-punch cutout camera on the top-left corner with a 6.49-inch display. It will have the fingerprint scanner on the right side of the metal frame while the volume keys will stay on left.

The battery on the OnePlus Nord was a 4115mAh battery with support for 30W fast charging. As per reports, there is less possibility to get a form change factor, but might get a similar sized battery inside.
