Customers of the country’s biggest lender, State Bank of India (SBI) sought to Twitter on Thursday, to complain about problems faced while accessing the bank’s net banking portal and the mobile app YONO.

Several customers also reported problems while conducting UPI transactions.

While SBI had earlier notified all its customers via Twitter that it would undertake maintenance activities in the second half of Thursday, which may result in issues while accessing online services, several users reported failure in transactions and services even during the first half of yesterday.

SBI Users Take to Twitter

On March 31, SBI had notified its customers via a tweet that they could face issues with online services during the second half of April 1, as the bank will undertake maintenance activities.

“Dear Customer, kindly be informed that we are undertaking maintenance activities between 2:10 p.m. and 5:40 p.m. on 1st April 2021 to provide a better digital banking experience. During this period, Internet banking , Yono lite, Yono and UPI will be unavailable. We regret the inconvenience caused and request you to bear with us.”

However, customers complained that they faced issues while conducting transactions even during the first half of Thursday.

They took to Twitter to report issues faced while logging into the bank’s internet banking portal, mobile app YONO and also conducting UPI transactions.

SBI has had a string of service problems earlier too. Last year in December, the bank’s digital platform YONO faced a technical glitch, which barred users from open or log into the application.

That time too, the affected users took to different social media platforms to complain about not being able to access the app.
