Reach Delhi From Mumbai In 12 Hours Via New National Highway; Delhi-Dehradun In 2 Hours!
The Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari has announced that the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway, which is awaited for a long time now, will be completed in about a year.
Additionally, the Delhi-Meerut Expressway will be inaugurated in the next two months.

New Delhi To Mumbai In 12 Hours!
Road Transport and Highways Minister, Nitin Gadkari was speaking at a virtual event organized by PHD Chamber of Commerce in New Delhi, where he confirmed both the news.
While highlighting the push on green highway projects, Gadkari talked about the multiple benefits that will be incurred. He stated, “We are spending ?7 lakh crore on building green express highways. These…will reduce air pollution, traffic jam and minimise logistics and transportation cost.”
He also stated that Rs. 60 thousand crores are being spent on projects which will be effective in reducing the notorious pollution in New Delhi. Additionally, the Dwarka-Express Highway project, which is abiut 30 kilometers long and has been in the news for being an engineering marvel, is also among this.
Delhi-Dehradun In 2 Hours?
The minister also confirmed that the Delhi-Saharanpur-Dehradun project will be very important in cutting down the traveling time between Delhi and Uttarakhand to two hours only. Additionally, the projects that will connect Delhi with Chandigarh and Delhi with Haridwar in two hours by car are also in process.
However, the Delhi to Mumbai Expressway is expected to cut down the traveling time between Delhi and Mumbai considerably.
As per Gadkari, “Sixty per cent of this 1,300 km project has been completed and we are trying to complete it within one year.”
As per reports, the journey between these two major cities of India is expected to come down to about 12 hours on the once the expressway is completed and starts working. There will be eight lanes in the first phase and 12 lanes in the second phase, which will be a part of the expansion plan.
