Android users throughout the world are facing this issue while using applications on their cell phones. As per their complaints, applications are crashing at random and these crashes are not limited to any applications but or happening to those which use a specific feature of the android system.

As per reports, customers of Samsung cell phones are complaining about this the most. However, there are also complaints from those who use smart phones like Motorola one plus and Pixel as well.

Among the complainants are users of Samsung phones such as the Galaxy S20, S21, Galaxy Note 10, Galaxy Note 20 as well as some premium mid-range smartphones in A50 and A70 series.

Google Working On Solution; Why Are Apps Crashing?

As per another report, a spokesperson from Google has confirmed that the company is working on providing a solution for this issue.

As per the spokesperson from Google, “We are aware of an issue with WebView causing some apps on Android to crash. We are currently working to fully validate the scope and a fix is in progress.”

Apparently, this random crashing of applications is caused due to an issue with a tool called Android System Webview. Android applications implement this tool to open web pages on Chrome without having to leave or close the application. This tool is used by applications for crucial operations, including providing secure logins and links of any sets of information that are not available with the application.

Till the time Google does come up with a solution for this, Samsung has suggested users to uninstall the Webview Update, restart the phone, and the apps might stop crashing at random.
