2 Lakh Accenture Employees In India Will Get 1-Week Salary As Bonus: Find Out Why?

Previous year pandemic was a do or die situation for many organizations, many perished as against few who flourished. The ones who flourished attribute their survival, among other things, to the exceptional adaptability displayed by their human resource. As a token of appreciation, many organizations who survived or flourished in these times, have decided to reward their employees for their contribution.

Joining the league of many IT companies who have already announced bonuses and rewards for their employees, is Accenture, who on Thursday said that it shall give one week of base pay as one-time bonus to all employees.

This move by the IT and professional services major will benefit around 2 lakh employees.

Increased Revenue Growth, Net Income, Net Bookings

Spectacular 8 percent growth in revenue of $12.09 billion for the second quarter ending February 28, 2021 was shown by Accenture. As compared with $1.25 billion company net income in second quarter last year, the company’s net income for the quarter was $1.46 billion.

Compared to the year-ago period, a 13 percent increase was recorded by the company in the new bookings for the second quarter. The company said that “For fiscal 2021, the company now expects operating cash flow to be in the range of $7.65 billion to $8.15 billion, compared with $6.65 billion to $7.15 billion previously”.

Reward For Exceptional Contributions & Dedication

Accenture in its financial performance report said that for the employees below managing director, one-time bonus has been announced equal to one week of base pay. Company has decided to reward its employees after the exceptional contributions and dedication that it human resource has shown to serve its clients.
