We recently reported that Kia was prepping up to launch seven new electric vehicles. They will be introduced by 2027 as a part of the new strategy. 

Across segments, it will include passenger vehicles, SUVs, and MPVs. These electric vehicles will be built on Hyundai Motor Group’s new Electric-Global Modular Platform (E-GMP). Also, they shall have simple codenames from EV1 to EV9.

And now, the  South Korean multinational automotive manufacturer has given a real look at the new EV6 electric cars.

Kia Reveals First Look Of EV6 Electric Car; First Dedicated Electric Vehicle

The images give a first real look at the new EV6 electric car revealing what it looks like. The entire details about the new car will be announced in an online event that will happen later this month.

The EV6 is reportedly inspired by a sporty crossover and is the first “dedicated battery electric vehicle,” by the company. There also is the Niro by Kia which has gas/hybrid models and the newer version with an electric drivetrain.

As per the design chief of Kia, Karim Habib, “EV6, as the first dedicated Kia EV, is a showcase of human-centered, progressive design and electrified power. We strongly believe EV6 is a compelling and relevant model for the new EV market.”

The EV6 is reportedly built around Hyundai’s new E-GMP platform and is also the second E-GMP vehicle announced by Hyundai, following the Hyundai Ioniq 5 just last month.

The price of EV6 is expected to be under Rs 10 Lakh.

Kia’s EV6 To Be Based On New Design Philosophy By Kia

The car is the first vehicle to use a new design philosophy by Kia which is called “Opposites United,” a combination of five pillars: “Bold for Nature,” “Joy for Reason,” “Power to Progress,” “Technology for Life,” and “Tension for Serenity.” 

The car’s front face comes with the new logo and a big headlight cluster connected by a narrow grille on top. 

On the side of the car is a character line at the bottom of the door that also connects to the wrap-around tail lights at the back. 

About the interior of the EV6, Kia has a flat dashboard design with a large digital instrument cluster and the central infotainment screen into a curved black dashboard.
