Upcoming Xiaomi, Realme Phones March: Upcoming Mobiles India

Major upcoming Xiaomi smartphone launches likely to happen in India in the next few weeks.

Poco F2 / Poco F3: Redmi K40

Poco F2 launch seems imminent, receives Indonesia Telecom certification. It is being touted to be a rebranded Redmi K40 for a number of markets across Europe and Asia including India. Poco X2 was a rebranded Redmi K30 from last year, and similarly Poco F2 could be a rebranded version of the recently launch Redmi K40. The series further included Redmi K40 Pro and Redmi K40 Pro+ apart from the vanilla Redmi K40. The latest Indonesian Telecom certification leak suggests Redmi K40 will launch under Poco.

Redmi K40 global variant with model number M2012K11AG was earlier spotted at the IMDA certification, but not under Redmi brand, but under Poco brand. Poco is infamous for rebranding Redmi phones, and almost all models have been straightaway hits. To support the latest certification again the same Redmi K40 global model has now received the Indonesian Telecom certification, again under the Poco brand, spotted by tipster Mukul Sharma. We are yet to know which Poco model it will be, but it’s expected to be Poco F2.

Realme 8, Realme 8 Pro

Realme 8 series will launch in India in March. Realme 8 Pro has been leaked in the recent FCC certification which revealed a 4,500mAh battery and 65W fast charging support. Both Realme Narzo 30 Pro and Realme 7 Pro from last year only feature the same charging solution. Alongside the battery details, the Realme 8 listing also confirmed that the device will run on Android 11 with Realme UI 2.0 skin on top. Realme 8 Pro design was revealed recently at the Realme Camera Innovations event, confirmed to come with 108MP primary camera.

Realme 8 Pro will be a camera heavy-weight with a host of in-house customisations. Realme 8 Pro has been confirmed to feature a 108MP Samsung HM2 sensor inside a quad-camera setup with a punch-hole design display. The 108MP camera will offer 3x zoom, New Starry Mode, tilt-shift and many more features.

Both the Realme 8 phones may include the 108MP camera, but chances are it will only be the top-end Realme 8 Pro. They are also said to come with 5G support. Realme 8 may come with 8GB RAM and run Android 11 OS out of the box. China’s 3C certification suggested 65W fast-charging support, and expect a beefy battery as well. Realme 8 already has bagged the statutory BIS (Bureau of Indian Standards) certification for India launch. Realme 8 India launch is expected in a couple of weeks from now including the top-end Realme 8 Pro.

Poco X3 Pro has received BIS (Bureau of Indian Standards) certification, the mandatory clearance for any phone to launch in India. Realme X3 Pro is all set to be unveiled, so Realme X4 launch may happen in a couple of months from now. The contents is known to refresh its models and series in quick intervals, and hence Realme X4 series is expected to drop in a while. The upcoming Realme phone will soon be a part of the rumour mill given the popularity of X series.

The device is probably in the development phase now, but Realme X4 launch won’t be taking long. We can expect multiple phones in the Realme X4 series as well like Realme X4, Realme X4 Pro and Realme X4 SuperZoom. Realme X4 Pro is still far away compared to Realme X4 and X4 SuperZoom.
