As the alleged specifications of Qualcomm Snapdragon 775 series of SoCs have surfaced online, we can say that it may be in the works.
As it is expected to have a base of a 5nm architecture, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 775 and Snapdragon 775G may provide better performance than the Snapdragon 765 and Snapdragon 765G SoCs.
No Official Confirmation Though
The Snapdragon 775 series may also support for LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. This has to be taken with a pinch of salt as officially Qualcomm has not confirmed any information about the rumoured chipsets.
Qualcomm Snapdragon 775 series specifications (expected)
The alleged specifications of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 775 series as per Xiaomiui, a channel on Telegram are :-
- Based on a 5nm process with Kryo 6-series CPU
- Support for LPDDR5 RAM clocked at 3,200MHz.
- Also support LPDDR4x RAM clocked at 2,400MHz
- UFS 3.1 two-lane HS Gear 4 storage.
The Snapdragon 775 series in terms of the camera, shall have the following:-
- Spectra 570 ISP with support for up to three 28-megapixel cameras at the same time.
- Process a 64-megapixel sensor along with a secondary 20-megapixel sensor at 30fps.
In terms of connectivity, it shall support the following :-
- Wi-Fi 6
- Wi-Fi 6E
- LTE Cat 18
- mmWave 5G
- Sub-6 5G.
However the differences between the Snapdragon 775 SoC and Snapdragon 775G SoC have not be clarified from the leak.
The rumoured Mi 11 Lite may be powered by the Snapdragon 775 series, as per the channel.
The leaked image comes from an earlier version of the official material which also happens to be out of date, says a report by XDA Developers.
Neither Xiaomi has confirmed anything about the rumoured Mi 11 Lite, nor has Qualcomm shared any details of the Snapdragon 775 series of SoC.
