Indian e-commerce payment system and financial technology company, Paytm, has now announced that they have been able to win 82% of dispute cases in regards to FASTag.

Paytm Payments Bank wins 82% Dispute Cases For Incorrectly Deducted Toll Charges

The Paytm Payments Bank has announced that it has won 82 per cent of dispute cases on behalf of FASTag users with toll plazas in 2020. The company has reportedly facilitated a refund of toll charges that have been incorrectly deducted from their accounts. 

Paytm has managed to win these cases for as many as 2.6 lakh customers. 

The payments bank has stated that it has set up an automated dispute management process. This process identifies incorrect deductions and also raises claims demanding to reverse extra charges. 

In a statement, the MD and CEO Satish Gupta of Paytm Payments said, “It has been our endeavour to empower our users with seamless and hassle-free travel on road. In this quest, we support our users in every possible way, including fast redressal of any grievance they face with toll plazas.”

He has also stated that the company makes sure that the customers are charged the correct toll amount. The teams by the company stay vigilant and ensure that there is no unjustified charging at every step. 

Paytm Becomes Leading Issuer of FASTags And Becomes Largest Acquiring Bank

The innovations that the company has made in technology have helped the company become the leading issuer of FASTags in the country, and the company has also become the largest acquiring bank under the National Electronic Toll Collection programme.

He also said, “We aim to expand our services across the length & breadth of the country and contribute towards building fully digital journeys on highways.”

Recently, there has been news about Paytm Payments Bank has entered into a partnership with ride-hailing companies, including Ola and Uber for convenient purchase and recharge of FASTags across the country. Around 1,00,000 drivers will be a part of this scheme.

Paytm has set up over 12 camps at Uber Green Zones across all major cities, including Delhi-NCR, Bangalore, Chennai Kerala, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Guwahati, Pune, Ahmedabad, Mumbai, and Chandigarh to ease the purchase and use Paytm FASTags.
