8 New SUV Launch Confirmed Before Diwali-2021: Maruti, Hyundai, Tata, Mahindra & More!

The SUV industry in India is all set to welcome 8 new SUVs by some top automobile manufacturers before Diwali!

Tata Safari

The new Tata Safari is a bigger version of the Harrier and the prices of the car will be announced on 22nd February 2021. Additionally, the pre-bookings have already begun at a token sum of Rs. 30,000. The car will come with a 170bhp, 2.0L turbo diesel engine paired with  a 6-speed manual and automatic transmission.

Citroen C5 Aircross

As per Citroen, the official bookings for the C5 Aircross SUV will start from 1st March and the launch will follow soon enough. The car will be launched in two variants – Feel and Shine. The features on the car are LED headlamps, hands free tailgate opening, and a panoramic sunroof. The car will come with a 2.0L diesel engine and an 8-speed automatic gearbox.

Skoda Kushaq

This SUV will be launched on 18th March, 2021, and will be pitted against Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, and the upcoming Volkswagen Taigun. The car will be powered by 110bhp, 1.0L, 3-cylinder TSI petrol, and a 150bhp, 1.5, 4-cylinder TSI petrol

Volkswagen Taigun

This is a mid-size SUV from the German carmaker and will compete against the Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos. The car’s design and styling is based on the global-spec VW T-ROC SUV. The car comes with features such as an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, all-digital instrument console, connected car technology, wireless charging, electrically adjustable drivers’ seat, automatic AC, sunroof and cruise control. 

Hyundai Creta 7-Seater

The car will be launched in April 2021 and will compete against MG Hector Plus, Mahindra XUV500, and Tata Safari. The car will be launched with a 1.4L turbo petrol (140bhp), a 1.5L naturally-aspirated petrol (115bhp), and a 1.5L turbo diesel (115bhp). The SUV will be offered with 4 gearbox options.

MG ZS Petrol (Astor)

The SUV will be launched before the Diwali season of 2021 and will compete against Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos. It will be powered by a 1.5L, 4-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol motor which is good with 120bhp and 150Nm. Along with that, the car will also come with a 1.3L turbocharged petrol engine delivering 163bhp and 230N

New Gen Maruti Vitara Brezza

Maruti Suzuki’s new generation Maruti Vitara Brezza will change its current architecture for the Suzuki’s Heartect or the modified version of the global Vitara’s C-platform. The car will be powered with a mild hybrid system with the 1.5L naturally aspirated petrol engine, a larger battery, and a more powerful electric motor. Addiitonally, the car will come with a BS6, 1.5L diesel engine.

New Gen Mahindra XUV 500

The second generation Mahindra XUV500 will be launched in the third quarter of 2021. The car will come with a 2.0L turbo mStallion petrol and 2.2L turbo diesel engines delivering 190bhp and 180bhp respectively. Also, the features on this car will be a new Mercedes-Benz inspired infotainment display, a panoramic sunroof, level 1 autonomous driving assist system (ADAS), radar technology, and many more.
