Elon Musk Launches Internet Satellites For Global Rollout; Starts Accepting Deposits For Connection!

On Monday, SpaceX’s Falcon 9 rocket’s booster did not successfully complete its landing despite a successful launch of 60 satellites.

As SpaceX sets out to disperse more satellites for the SpaceX’s new Starlink satellite internet service, it has launched the sixth flight for Falcon 9.

Waiting to catch the launched satellite in the Atlantic Ocean, the company was not able to recover it despite successful launch.

A part of the rocket was successfully recovered, tweeted Elon Musk.

The Falcon 9’s apparent loss puts an end to the possibility of reuse for that particular rocket.

A filing by company showed at even it being in beta, there are more than 10,000 Starlink customers.

The company on Monday said that it will continue expansion to near global coverage of the populated world in 2021, and is now delivering initial beta service both domestically and internationally.

With more than 10,000 users worldwide, SpaceX is offering $99 preorders of the service to more countries and cities on a global scale since the past two weeks.

Launched in the month of October, “Better Than Nothing Beta”, company’s beta test has been a big hit with those living in remote areas of northern US, where it was first rolled out.

Countries Where It Is Offered

Most recently in UK, and initially operating in the parts of the northern US, southern Canada, Starlink is now opening up preorders to other parts of the world since Monday.

There are nations like Australia, New Zealand, Mexico, and parts of the US and Canada, where there is not a connection as of now but still people confirmed that they were able to put down a deposit to get the internet service in mid to late 2021.

This year more countries this year could get green-light Starlink this year. These countries include Spain, Italy, India, Japan and the Caribbean.
