BSNL has now revised its Rs. 199 plan to offer unlimited talk time online and offline both! This also excludes any fair usage policy for BSNL customers.

BSNL Modifies Rs. 199 Postpaid Plan; What Has Changed?

This new plan by the Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) is the revised version of the Rs. 199 postpaid plan. In the new and revised plan, BSNL will offer unlimited off-net and on-net voice calls, without any fair usage policy (FUP). Previously, this plan included only 300 minutes of off-net calls. 

The modified version of this plan also allows customers a free voice call forwarding facility; this is applicable for landline, BSNL, and other operators’ numbers as well. The new Rs. 199 postpaid plan also includes 25 GB monthly internet data and a data rollover facility for up to 75GB.

As per a tweet by the Chennai division of BSNL, the modified postpaid plan has been in effect since February 1. Additionally, it has been confirmed by BSNL that the revision has been made effective throughout the country.

The same plan was recently modified by the state owned telecom operator in December, and it offers 25 GB of internet data on a monthly basis along with unlimited voice calling support. This will be applicable on  home network and national roaming including the MTNL roaming area.

Additionally, 100 SMSes per day will also be offered under the same plan to the customers of BSNL.

BSNL’s New Plan To Take On Jio’s Rs. 199 Postpaid Plan? 

This new and modified plan by BSNL seems to give Reliance Jio’s Rs. 199 postpaid plan a run for their money. The same plan by Reliance Jio will offer unlimited voice calls, 25GB high-speed data, and 100 SMS messages per day. 

However, Reliance Jio’s plan also offers a complimentary subscription to Jio apps.

Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) also has another plan up its sleeve called the “Cinema Plus,” which will offer multiple new features at 35% cheaper rates. It will offer subscriptions to four OTT channels, such as YuppTV, ZEE5, SonyLIV, and Voot.
