TCS Fails To Beat IBM, Accenture, Is Now #3 Most Valued IT Firm; Infosys Beats Cognizant For #5 Spot

Accenture and IBM have emerged at the top of the list of the most valued IT services brands throughout the world. In fact, the companies have managed to defeat Tata Consultancy Services as well. 

In the list of the top 10, there are four Indian companies that have been ranked as the most-valued IT services brand globally.

TCS Fails To Beat Accenture And IBM; Ranked Third Most Valued IT Services Company

A report by Brand Finance has revealed that TCS, Infosys, HCL, and Wipro are some more  IT companies that have made it to the list of the most valued IT services brands across the globe.

The report states, “Third-ranked TCS is rapidly closing the gap with IBM following a healthy 11 per cent brand value increase to USD 15 billion.”

Accenture has emerged at the top of the list with a record brand value of USD 26 billion, followed by IBM, which has a brand value of USD 16.1 billion. As per the report, brand value is the present value of earnings that are specifically related to brand reputation.

The brands are evaluated as per multiple factors, including marketing investment, customer familiarity, staff satisfaction, corporate reputation, and brand strength.

The report states, “According to these criteria, Accenture is also once again the strongest IT services brand in the world, with a Brand Strength Index (BSI) score of 85.6 out of 100 and a corresponding AAA brand strength rating.”

Infosys Beats Cognizant To Secure 4th Position

Infosys has also climbed the rank, the report has said, and has followed a 19% brand value increase to USD 8.4 billion; marking its entry into the Big 4 of the IT services brands globally. Infosys has now emerged as the fastest growing brand in the top 10. 

Infosys has surpassed Cognizant too with the latter suffering a 6% brand value loss to USD 8.0 billion.
