Vodafone Has Best Voice Quality, Airtel Has Worst! Jio’s Rating Fall By 21% As Users Unhappy
  • Idea and Vodafone maintain their top positions on the Mycall rating released by Trai.
  • BSNL and Reliance Jio tied at the third position.

Idea has retained its top position in the MyCall portal ratings for the month of December updated by the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (Trai) on Monday. Vodafone is steadily following Idea in the survey rating the quality of voice calls.

According to reports, these ratings are generated using a Mycall application made by Trai. The data on Mycall Portal is based on the feedback given by the users of this application.

Vodafone And Idea Are Consistent With Its Quality

Being the third largest wireless operator, Vodafone and Idea might not be having the largest customer base in the market but they have evidently outperformed their rivals in terms of quality.

Idea has maintained an impressive rating of 4.9 out of 5 for indoor and outdoor calls with 97.59% of customers being satisfied in the month of December. Idea has been consistent with its high quality voice calls since it scored a rating of 4.9 and 4.8 for indoor and outdoor calls respectively in the month of November as well.

Though Vodafone has retained its second spot, it has observed a slight decrease in its rating compared to the previous month. The operator has received an average rating of 4.3 in the month of December which is evidently lesser than the average rating of 4.6 received in November. With an 87.68% satisfactory rating, the operator has been rated 4,4 for its indoor calls and 3.6 for outdoor calls.

Rating Of Other Wireless Operators

BSNL and Jio have been tied at the third position with an average rating of 3.9 in December. Reliance Jio showed a marginal improvement compared to the last month’s rating of 3.8. With a 77.81% satisfactory rating, the largest wireless operator can certainly improve more in terms of the quality of voice calls.

On the other hand, with a score of 3.8 for indoor calls and4.3 for outdoor ones, the ratings of Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) lowered in the month of December. The state run operator has obtained an average rating of 4.1 last month. The operator has also registered a lesser satisfactory rating (76.58%) compared to Reliance Jio.

Furthermore, Airtel is way off its rivals in terms of quality even after being the second biggest wireless operator in India. Airtel scored a rating of 3.1 in December which is much lesser and compared to the 3.8 scored last month. Even the satisfactory rating dropped evidently from 75.21% to 59.46%.

If Idea and Vodafone continue to provide quality services to their customers, their collaboration might hit new records very soon. However, Airtel needs to buckle up if it wants to retain 40% of its unsatisfied customers.
