Earlier, Netflix used to offer a free trial for one month, but that is not available anymore. In December, Netflix had also introduced the Netflix StreamFest, wherein we were able to watch Netflix for free for two days. 

Also, most telecom operators don’t offer Netflix free with their recharge plans. But now, Vodafone Idea, or VI, offers a free Netflix plan as an option if you opt for a new postpaid connection and get the RedX plan or higher.

Under the RedX plan, whose starting price is Rs. 1099 per month, you will be given a six month lock-in period, and one year of Netflix free. It also offers a one year subscription to Netflix on your TV and mobile, which will cost you Rs. 5988 per year. This is the one year amount for the plan whose starting price is Rs. 499.

Once you get the Vodafone connection, you can get the Netflix subscription by setting up a new account or signing into an existing account on the OTT platform. Apparently, the amount is credited to your Netflix account directly and the customer will be able to avail of the service for free for a year. The option to pick more expensive plans of Netflix is also available, but that means that this would finish the credited amount faster. Also, anyone who has an existing RedX plan can also enjoy the free Netflix subscription.

Jio also offers a free subscription to Netflix with all of its postpaid plans; however, this is limited to only the basic mobile-only subscription, which comes at Rs. 199. This plan offers only a Netflix subscription that you can avail of on your mobile.

In order to activate Netflix, Jio customers will need to install the MyJio app on their phones, after which, you need to log in with JioPostPaid Plus credentials. After that, you have to click on the “Activate Now” on the Netflix banner on the app’s homepage.

After this, you will need to log in to Netflix with your account, be it an existing one or a newly created one, and your Netflix will be instantly activated.

Another easy way out is to ask your friends or family members for their netflix credentials; however, even if you are sharing your credentials, Netflix can be streamed only on four screens simultaneously.

How To Get Amazon Prime Video,  Disney+ Hotstar, and Zee5 For Free in 2021

The yearly subscription to Amazon Prime Video costs Rs. 999 and the monthly subscription comes at Rs. 129. Also, there is a 30 day free trial offered to the customers. 

The subscription of Disney+Hotstar’s VIP service costs Rs 399 per year and the Premium subscription costs Rs 1499 per year. Disney+Hotstar does offer some content for free, but it is riddled with advertisements, and the originals and other Disney+ content is not offered in the free plan.

The VIP subscription also does not offer any access to  the Disney+ originals or the English content and is limited only to the dubbed content. There are some telecom providers who offer a subscription to both these services for free with some of their plans. 

Jio postpaid plan users are offered a free subscription to Amazon Prime and Disney+ Hotstar VIP as a part of these plans. The postpaid plans by Jio range from Rs. 399 to Rs. 1499 and they all offer the same benefits in terms of access to these OTT platforms.

Jio’s page also states that for the Disney+Hotstar VIP’s subscription, the customers will need to sign in to the platform’s app through the same mobile number and after logging in, the customers will be able to enjoy all the benefits of the Disney + Hotstar VIP subscription.

Also, Jio has specified that if customers want to continue getting Disney + Hotstar VIP subscription for one year, the user will need to be on an active postpaid plus plan from the company. Also, the annual subscription will begin on the date of the purchase of the eligible plan.

Jio also offers one year free membership to Amazon Prime to all eligible postpaid plans and these features will be offered on all postpaid plans. As per the details on Jio’s pages, the feature will also be offered on all postpaid plans.

Customers can also avail one year of Amazon Prime membership which is usually offered at Rs. 999 at no extra charges. However, they will be automatically charged for the annual prime membership at the end of the year at the prevailing market price.

Airtel postpaid users with plans worth Rs 499 and higher come with free Amazon Prime membership for one year, along with free access to Disney+Hotstar’s VIP subscription for one year, similar to that of Jio’s plans.

The prepaid customers of Airtel can get the ZEE5 Premium subscription along if they buy the Rs 289 plan, which also offers unlimited calls, and 1.5GB data per day. The validity of this plan is for 28 days. There also is a prepaid plan worth Rs. 349 which comes with one-month Amazon Prime membership, 2GB data per day, unlimited calls, and 100 daily SMS for 28 days.

Apart from that, Airtel also offers a a data-only plan of Rs 400, under which, customers will be offered free access to Disney+Hotstar VIP for one year.

Also, there are the regular postpaid plans by VI which offer access to Amazon Prime Video and ZEE5 subscription. For this, customers will need to visit the Vi app and claim the free offer. Also, Amazon Prime service is also available for one year in the VI postpaid plans. The prepaid plans include a Rs 409 plan, which offers one year ZEE5 Premium access, unlimited voice calls, 90GB of total data, and 100 SMS/day.
