Sony To Launch Playstation 5 On February; Pre-orders To Be Taken Soon!

Sony has announced that pre-order requests will be taken by the company for the new gaming station in India from January 12 and the actual launch will be on February 2.

As per reports, this console will be available for pre-ordering from multiple retailers, including Amazon India, Flipkart, Croma, Reliance Digital, Games the Shop, Sony Center, and Vijay Sales.

The supply chain network was hugely affected last year because of the coronavirus pandemic and the lockdown imposed; however, there is an improvement in the supply chain network, as stated by the Japanese company.

As per reports, the PlayStation 5 will be priced at Indian rupees 49,990 ($685), the digital edition of the gaming console will be at at Indian rupees 39,990 ($550). Additionally, Xbox Series X, is priced at $685 in India, and Xbox Series S is priced at $480. Both the consoles were launched in India in November.

Sony Facing Drastic Shortage For Xbox?

Fans of Sony were quite aggravated as the company did not issue any clarifications about the launch of the new gaming console in the upcoming months. Fans have also secured a unit from the gray market at a premium in the recent time after the country was not included in the first wave of nations for the launch of the PS5.

However, Microsoft has been going through some struggles to meet the demand for the Xbox consoles in India. The shortage is so drastic that the console cannot even be located on Amazon India.

It was in November when Sony had suggested that the launch of the PS5 would be delayed due to local import regulations. Also, reports were that Sony will not be offering warranty and after-sales support for PlayStation 5 accessories in India. This was similar to the previous generations offered by the company as well.
