This Zomato User Ordered 4-Times Per Day In 2020; 20 Lakh Veg Biryanis Ordered This Year!

The online food delivery platform has revealed the delivering and ordering trends in the year 2020.
22 Orders Of Biryani Delivered Per Minute; More Than 1 Lakh Veg Biryanis Ordered
Zomato has revealed that about 22 orders of biryani were delivered per minute of 2020. Also, about 1,988,044 vegetarian biryanis have been delivered this year.
Another favorite order on Zomato has been pizza – as much as 4.5 lakh pizzas were ordered in May, which went up to more than 12 lakh by September and more than 17 lakh pizzas were ordered in November.
In fact, one customer in Jalgaon has ordered a whopping 369 pizzas this year!
As per the Zomato Rewind, Bengaluru, Mumbai, Delhi, and Pune ordered momos 25 lakh times. Also, Delhi has ordered momos more than all the other cities combined.
What’s a bit weird that people have also searched for bat soup on the Zomato online ordering app. This probably might be because of the rumor the coronavirus disease began with a woman eating bat soup.
The most number of Zomato orders were placed by a man named Yash in Bengaluru. He has placed as much as 1380 orders in 2020, which roughly translates to about four orders every day!
Most Expensive Order Worth Rs. 2 Lakh; Favourite Dessert Is Gulab Jamun
The most expensive order placed on Zomato was for about Rs. 2 lakh and the order cost as much as Rs 1,99,950, with a discount of Rs 66,650. Whereas, the smallest order cost Rs 10.01 after a discount of Rs 39.99.
The most favorite dessert ordered on Zomato was Gulab Jamun, about one lakh orders were placed for the dessert in Diwali alone. Mumbai has been the top city to order the most number of Gulab Jamun in 2020.
Darjeeling is the one city that tops every other city in India in spending on every order. The average order placed was worth Rs. 500 and Chandigarh has ordered the most at midnight.
Zomato has also revealed that Mumbai’s delivery partners received about Rs. 4.6 crore in tips, whereas, people in Goa gave Rs. 2000 in tips.
