On Thursday, Ernst and Young Global Limited declared that it is going to mass hire 9000 employees in the year. EY is a global leader in assurance, consulting, strategy and transactions, and tax services. 

What Kind Of Jobs Is EY Offering?

Currently, 36 % employees in this global professional services organisation have a STEM background and are totally dedicated towards developing science and technology. ANd this is exactly the area that EY wants to expand. SO the jobs are related to  artificial intelligence, machine learning, cybersecurity, analytics and other emerging technologies.

The organisation made a statement saying, “These will be in various technology roles across all member firms including the global delivery centres, to expand its digital capabilities and help organisations solve their “complex end-to-end business transformation challenges”

“Our purpose is to build a  better working world”, says EY’s website. It aims to offer comprehensive services to be driven by transformation and innovation. The recent acquisition of  Spotmentor Technologies, an AI-enabled upskilling and reskilling platform, shows that EY has already marched towards manifesting its vision.

It also provides several proprietary digital tools and solutions such as EY Asterisk (supply chain planning solutions), and EY Symphony (integrated governance, risk, controls, and compliance platform).

“EY in India is developing a broader range of new digital proprietary tools and solutions which it is looking to take to scale across organisations and geographies.” said Mahesh Makhija, Partner and Technology Consulting Leader, EY India.

In an elaborate statement, Rohan Sachdev, Partner and Consulting Practice Leader, EY India, said: “We are making bold investments in our organization particularly in technology, data and through strategic acquisitions while continuing to expand our alliance and ecosystem relationships.”

“Today, our clients, both in government and private businesses, are embarking on technology-led transformation and we are supporting them in this journey.

With the pace of digital adoption accelerating exponentially, we are strengthening capabilities in emerging technology roles and significantly intensifying our hiring efforts in the coming year”, he said.

Currently the organisation has a total of over 50,000 employees including member firms and global delivery centres. The hiring plans of EY are going to offer a lot of opportunities for deserving people. Lets all of us take a constructive resolution  for 2021 just like EY has.
