This mobile game gave a fresh breath of nostalgia to its 500 million people who are using the app currently.

Tiktoks were a trend since the time they were released. The sudden ban on the chinese app took away one of the most entertaining pastimes from the audience. While many other platforms were trying to replicate tiktoks after its boycott, India came up with its own alternative through Mitron app which rose to fame within the first month of its launch. With 5 million downloads within a month, the app secured a place in top 10 free apps on Play store.

PM Narendra Modi’s vocal for local initiative encouraged the Indian developers to come up with Indian alternatives to all the banned chinese apps  including UC browser. MagTapp which claims to be the world’s first visual browser, wants to fill India’s literacy gap by allowing users to search for visual meanings of words with a single tap.

This indegenious app helps the users to scan documents and PDF files. Earlier Camscanner was popular among Indians for serving the same purpose. The app was built by few IITians approximately in a day to assist the users to organize their documents, reminders and notes. The app currently has crossed over million downloads.

Graphy

This app is the most unique initiative of edtech unicorn startup, Unacademy. This creative experiment aims to redefine learning by providing a platform in which creators and influencers can share their experiences and ideas through images, videos and audios.

“Graphy is a new product by the Unacademy Group. Books haven’t changed since a really really really long time. Maybe it’s time to change that?,” tweeted Gaurav Munjal, CEO of Unacademy while releasing the app.

Khabri

With an estimated 40 million listeners, the podcasting sector has witnessed 60% growth in India. Seems like the creators of Khabri app have tapped this opportunity by making India’s fastest growing audio app containing podcasts in regional language. The app has content related to news, jobs, books, movies as well as motivation. Khabri also provides a platform for creators to launch their own audio content.

Social distancing also brought anxiety, stress and depression along with it.
