Hyundai’s i20 seems to be quite a well loved car in India. The car maker has revealed that about 30000 bookings have been made for the car in the last 40 days alone.

Hyundai Motor India Gets 30,000 Bookings For The Premium Hatchback i20

Hyundai Motor India announced that of the 30,000 bookings, the company has already ordered 10,000 units of the model up until now. i20 is a premium hatchback by the Hyundai Motors India, the second largest passenger vehicle maker in the country. 

Hyundai Motor India Director (Sales, Marketing & Service) Tarun Garg said, “We are witnessing a truly superlative customer response for the all-new i20 that has captivated the hearts and minds of Indian customers with its futuristic design and advanced technologies.” 

He also said that about 85 percent of the bookings are because of the higher trims of the new Hyundai i20. 

The newest i20 was launched by Hyundai on November 5 with a price tag of Rs. 6.79 lakh and Rs. 11.97 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). This is the fourth generation of the car and competes against Maruti Suzuki Baleno, Tata Motors Altroz and Toyota Glanza.

Hyundai i20: Specifications, Features And Prices

Hyundai’s popular hatchback i20 comes with both petrol and diesel powertrains. The 1.2 litre petrol engine is priced between  Rs 6.79 lakh and Rs 9.19 lakh for the manual variant, whereas, the automatic ones are priced for Rs 8.59 lakh and Rs 9.69 lakh.

Additionally, the 1-litre turbo petrol variants with IMT technology come with a price tag of Rs. 8.79 lakh whereas, the seven speed DCT trims will come at Rs 10.66 lakh and Rs 11.17 lakh. Whereas, the 1.5 litre diesel variants come at a price range between Rs 8.19 lakh and Rs 10.59 lakh. 

The base model of the i20 is Magna and the top variant is the Hyundai i20 Asta Opt Turbo DCT DT.

As per the company, all the prices are introductory and they will remain in place till December.

The car is also fitted with features like LED headlamps, a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, an air purifier, BlueLink connected car tech, and a sunroof.
