Big development coming in, regarding the roll out of 5G in India.

Mukesh Ambani led Reliance Jio has declared that they will launch 5G in the 2nd half of 2021.

And as per him, this will trigger industrial revolution 4.0.

Here are the exciting details.

Reliance Jio All Set To Launch 5G In 2021

While speaking at the India Mobile Congress event, Reliance Chairman Mukesh Ambani has declared that their company will roll out 5G in the 2nd half of 2021.

This means, that we can expect 5G services to start as soon as July or August.

Mukesh Ambani emphasized on the fact that their 5G services will be completely Made in India, and all hardware, software and infrastructure needed to deploy 5G would be Made in India.

In fact, their 5G services will be a testimony of Atmanirbhar Bharat.

He said, “I assure you that Jio will pioneer the 5G Revolution in India in the second half of 2021. It will be powered by indigenous-developed network, hardware and technology components. Jio’s 5G service will be a testimony to your inspiring vision of Aatmanirbhar Bharat,”

Reliance had launched Jio around 5 years back, and became India’s #1 telecom player within this time span.

5G Rollout Possible By 2nd Haf of 2021?

Interestingly, Airtel Chairman Sunil Mittal spoke just after Mukesh Ambani’s speech, and he said that it will still take 2-3 years for 5G network to come to India.

This is indeed a huge discrepancy between Jio and Airtel’s promises, when it comes to 5G roll out.

Last month, a leading research organization predicted that the 5G spectrum auction in India can get delayed, if Govt focuses on 4G spectrum in 2021.

Govt is expected to conduct India’s 1st 5G spectrum auction in the 1st quarter of 2021.

Interestingly, there are around 30 crore 2G users in India, who have never used 3G network.

We will keep you updated, as more details come in.
