The upcoming Redmi smartphone has received the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) certification. The device has also been spotted on Google Play Console listing as Redmi 9 Power. It will be a part of the Redmi 9 series in India which already includes Redmi 9 Prime, Redmi 9, and Redmi 9A.

Coming to Redmi 9 Power specifications, the device will be a rebranded Redmi Note 9 4G in India. Under the hood, the upcoming Redmi smartphone will pack the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 662 SoC. It’s a 11nm chip succeeding Snapdragon 665. Redmi 9 Power will come with 4GB or 6GB of RAM and up to 128GB of internal storage and additional storage support.
In terms of optics, Redmi 9 Power will house a triple-camera system inside a newly styled array. The cameras will include a 48MP main shooter paired with an 8MP ultrawide lens and a 2MP depth sensor with an f/2.4 aperture.
Upfront, the upcoming Redmi device will host a water drop notch with an 8MP shooter living inside the notch.
The whole system will be backed by a 6,000mAh battery with support for 18W fast-charging. Other Redmi 9 Power specifications include Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, 3.5mm headphone jack and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.
