An unusual issue is reported by Apple iPhone 12 users which resulted in dropping LTE and 5G network unexpectedly when they are travelling.

Apple iPhone 12 Losing Connection Issue

Several Apple iPhone 12 users have posted complaints on social networks about losing connection, especially when they are on a move.

Most of the complaints are reported by users on Verizon and AT&T networks, but users of T-Mobile also cited the issue of the signal drop .

It seems that the issue is widespread on various carriers as the bug causes the device to lose signals for both LTE and 5G connectivities when the network is not spotty and is well-received on other devices.

In simple words, iPhone 12 series phones have been experiencing dropping of service in areas of adequate signal according to the user reports.

Origin Of The Issue

The users have been experiencing signal drops ever since they started using the phone as they say.

Although, hundreds of users have been complaining about it on its forums.

According to the report, the users have been complaining on Apple forums and Reddit about the signal drop issue on their iPhone 12 series units.

It seems that all of the iPhones in the series from the iPhone 12, iPhone 12 mini, iPhone 12 Pro, and iPhone 12 Pro Max are experiencing the problem of frequent signal drops.

The issue is sevever to the extent where some users have reported the network issues up to 15 times a day.

First times the issue was reported by a user named JoxesCA in October on an Apple forum.

That time, the user claimed to have first experienced this issue on his iPhone 12 Pro while driving, and switching to LTE from 5G Auto also did not resolve it.

Further he mentioned trying to reset the network settings and also a complete reset on the iPhone.

Still, nothing seemed to help the drop in signal.

According to him, “The only way to get the connection back was to toggle Airplane mode to on then off,” as he mentioned in the forum.

Like him, many other users are also complaining about the signal drop issue.

What Does Apple Say?

So far, there is no acknowledgement from Apple on the issue.

Although, it is still not clear if the new iPhones are causing the issue or if it’s something network providers need to fix.

But the users are hoping that Apple will resolve this issue and provide a clarification soon.
