Criminal Mastermind Arrested By Railway Protection Force; Earned 10 Lakh In November Alone

The name of this criminal is Satyanarayana Miryala, and he has been arrested by the RPF, as confirmed by the Central Railway. He has developed a software called the Tatkal Turbo software, using which, he duped people with the help of about 450 associates.

As per reports, each of these associates paid him Rs. 200 per ticket as a commission to use his software. These associates, in turn, earned Rs. 1000 – Rs. 1500 per ticket.

The investigation states that Miryala received about Rs. 10 lakh in November alone as commission from these associates.

This software would automatically fill the payment details, names of passengers and travel details within 30 to 35 seconds only. This helped them beat the passengers who were booking through the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation’s portal.

Bhiwandi RPF inspector HB Kumar, sub-inspector Suresh Singh, constables MD Bhatkar, Devendra Singh, and sub-inspector Gopal Rai of the IT Cell (Mumbai division) are the officers who were able to reveal the network and arrest the culprit along with his associate Muralidrao Devishetti.

540 Other Associates To Be Arrested

As per Bhiwandi RPF inspector HB Kumar, “Miryala completed his Bachelors in Commerce degree at Pawar College in Bhiwandi, where he resides. He then undertook a software course from the National Institute of Information technology and several other related courses at a few more institutes.”

As per reports, he was already arrested in Pune in October 2020 on the charges of ticket brokerage, and was out on bail. Apparently, he formed a new gang  soon after he was out.

To make the arrest of the other 540 associates that are spread throughout the country, KK Ashraf, senior divisional security commissioner of CR’s Mumbai Division has confirmed that they are seeking help from other railway zones.
