MIUI 12 update (latest edition) for Redmi Note 7, Redmi Note 7S, Redmi Note 8 and Redmi Note 8 Pro are being rolled out. Xiaomi is rolling out MIUI 12 Global Stable update for Redmi Note 7 and Redmi Note 7S devices in India based on Android 10 UI update and not the latest Android 11. Flagships and mid-range devices such as Mi 10, Redmi K30 5G have started getting the Android 11-based MIUI 12 update. While many predict that Redmi Note 7 series and Redmi Note 8 series won’t receive any update further, and latter may get Android 11 support later.

Xiaomi is rolling out MIUI 12 Global Stable update for Redmi Note 7 and Redmi Note 7S devices in India based on Android 10. This is said to be the last Android OS update on these devices, and none of them will receive Android 11 update.

Xiaomi Mi 10, Redmi K30 5G have started receiving Android 11-based MIUI 12 update. So, chances are at least the Redmi Note 8 series may get Android 11 support later.

MIUI 12 Bugs Problem Update: Being Fixed?

MIUI 12 update has been stopped again amid the major camera bug problem. Top flagship models as Mi 10, Mi 10 Pro and Redmi K30 Pro are facing multiple issues due to the latest MIUI 12.2.1.0 firmware update based on Android 11. The Mi Camera application with the latest updates have caused serious problems to the phone’s stability. The company is urging users not to instal MIUI 12.2.1.0 update.

The list of problems include: disconnection of Internet from second SIM, screen flickering while being charging, lower frame rates in games, high power consumption, delays in taking screenshots, heating and much more.

The MIUI 12.2.1.0 update comes with a bunch of issues and troubles. Xiaomi is working on a fix, and have currently paused the distribution of the firmware. The company also suggested users not to manually install the latest MIUI 12 update until the problems are fixed, or your Mi flagship could be heavily compromised.

Previously MIUI 12 bug was letting phones enter an endless reboot cycle. The update disables Xiaomi smartphones including Mi, Redmi and Poco series to restart again and again without any exit. Mi, Redmi, and Poco users are facing an issue that puts their phones into a bootloop, making them restart again and again.

The phones receive an error: Find Device closed unexpectedly. Xiaomi has promised a fix soon.

Several users have reported unexpected errors installing the latest versions of MIUI 12. Multiple devices have fallen into the endless reboot cycle, without any option to go back.

You can only exit the reboot cycle by resetting to factory settings leading to loss of all data.

The newly launched Poco X3 is one of the phones with the endless reboot problem. So, the MIUI 12 update on any of the latest Xiaomi phones can end up as a software error. The smartphones facing similar problems are said to be facing a typical software conflict between the latest firmware and the Airtel operator applications in India.
