OnePlus Watch is coming. It has been leaked in a Cyberpunk 2077 edition. The live images have been leaked online on Chinese microblogging website Weibo. Already leaked on a number of occasions, the OnePlus Watch is said to be in the final stages of development. OnePlus Watch will run on its own OxygenOS For Watch platform and not Google’s Wear OS.
With all smartphone companies joining the smartwatch bandwagon, OnePlus isn’t keeping it far as well.
The company has been expanding fast into multiple segments, and smartwatch is one of the upcoming categories. OnePlus Watch has already been leaked on multiple occasions, but the recent image leak hints at an imminent launch. The company has already added an array of non-smartphone products in 2020.
Expect that to grow in 2021 with multiple products set to join in the OnePlus brand including affordable phones, watches and IOT products. The company has slowly been moving away from the high-end flagship space to the all-round segment. New OnePlus Nord smartphones are in the pipeline as well apart from OnePlus 9 series and OnePlus Watch.
OnePlus Watch Coming: What To Expect
OnePlus Watch may come with the OnePlus 9 series in Q1 2021. OnePlus Watch seems to be in development, and it could be in the final stages of testing. Popular tipster Max Jambor says OnePlus Watch will not be based on Google’s Wear OS.
So the watch will have a customised OxygenOS skin on top. 9to5Google have previously hinted that the company is building its own platform for its upcoming smartwatch.
OnePlus Watch may run on Snapdragon Wear 4100 SoC, the successor to Snapdragon 3100 SoC offering a more refined performance with enhanced efficiency.
The OnePlus Watch might come in a special Cyberpunk 2077 edition, posted on Chinese microblogging site Weibo. OnePlus has partnered with Cyberpunk 2077 for the OnePlus 8T, so OnePlus Watch Cyberpunk 2077 won’t be a surprise. The Vivo Watch recently launched in China, so expect similarities on OnePlus Watch from Oppo and Vivo watches.
