Officially iOS 14.2 is now available, and the company is rolling out the update to different generation phones.

Apple is rolling out both the latest iOS and iPadOS version 14.2. It adds a host of new features and over 100 new emojis, exclusively for iPhone and iPad users. The company confirmed that there are a bunch of features for Apple ecosystem as the new Intercom feature for HomePod.

Also, the iOS 14.2 has eight new wallpapers in light and dark modes, a new AirPlay menu and a new Shazal toggle. It will work for the Control Center with additional bug fixes. Apart from these, there will be a new feature which allows Magnifier to detect people nearby.

So, it can report their distance using the LiDAR sensors. It can work with iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max.

The update adds a number of optimisations including battery management, charging for the AirPods, new AirPlay controls, stream content throughout home and more. iOS version 14.2 update provides notifications to health authorities, but without user identification.

Among the bug fixes on iOS 14.2, Apple has fixed a number of changes: Home Screen dock, camera viewfinder, screen going black, lock screen keyboard, photos widget, voice memos, Netflix video playback, wireless charging and more.

iOS 14.2 Update: The company has already rolled out the new update for iPhone users. So, to get the new iOS 14.2 update iPhones, go to Settings > General > Software Update > Download and Install on their devices in order to get updated to iOS 14.2.

Brazilian telecom regulator Anatel leaked out that the upcoming iPhone 12 series in global markets may now be produced in multiple markets. Leaked documents from Anatel also indicate that some of the iPhone 12 models may be directly manufactured in facilities in India and Brazil, and this will bring down the final cost by a substantial margin.

Apple will start with the production of iPhone 12 Pro at Foxconn’s facilities in Brazil and India. The contract manufacturer already has its production running in China.

Apple is currently utilising the Foxconn units in India and Brazil for manufacturing different Apple smartphones as iPhone 11, iPhone SE 2020 and more. The documents also leaked iPhone 12 Mini and iPhone 12 battery capacities.

The leaked certifications confirmed that iPhone 12 Mini packs a 2,227mAh battery, while the iPhone 12 houses a 2,815mAh battery. According to Apple’s official listing, iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro both are rated to deliver 17 hours of video playback time. iPhone 12 Mini can deliver up to 15 hours of video playback on a single charge.
