The Indian e-commerce website is holding the ‘Maha Shopping Festival’ sale for a period of 8 days starting October 16 and ending on October 23 with the participation of over 5,500 brands.

Paytm Mall COO Abhishek Rajan stated, “This year we want to empower thousands of MSMEs, artisans, Indian brands to leverage on our digital commerce platform as a potent distribution channel and give their consumers the best buying experience.”

Like its peers, Paytm’s festive sale will mainly have products from micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs), ‘Made in India’ brands, government-run emporiums along with international brands.

The users can expect a discount of up to 80% on mobiles and accessories, electronics, fashion, home, and kitchen essentials. An additional Paytm cashback of up to 20%on all products is also available, said the company.

“We are bringing the best deals possible so that our users are not constrained by budget to celebrate and spread the festive cheer,” Rajan added.

The Festive Sale Predictions of 2020!

The Diwali sale is a huge success thing for all retailers in the country. However, this year it’s going to be even bigger!

Many customers haven’t been able to shop since the beginning of the year. The festive sale combined with ‘revenge buying’ can aid in the e-commerce website’s order volumes.

According to a Redseer report, during the 2020 festive season, the e-commerce gross merchandising volume could jump to a whopping $7 billion. In 2019, it stood at $3.8 billion.
