Apple has decided not to ship any chargers or wired earphones with the new iPhone 12 series, which has just being launched.

As soon as the iPhon 12 series was launched, Apple shares on stock markets tumbled so hard, that Apple lost $80 billion or Rs 6 lakh crore within minutes.

No, we aren’t saying that these two news are connected, but probability is high that they are.

Lets find out how?

Apple Refuses To Ship Chargers, Earphones With iPhone 12

In a decision which shocked every loyal Apple user, and tech observer, Apple has decided not to ship wall chargers and wired earphones along with iPhone 12, whose bookings will start later this month.

4 new models were launched by Apple under iPhone 12 series: iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Mini, iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max, whose price starts from Rs 69,900 and goes upto Rs 1,59,900.

The logic provided by Apple is that there are billions of wired earphones and chargers in the world, and they can save on carbon emissions and protect the environment by not making any more chargers.

In case anyone wants, they can buy them for $20-$40 (Rs 1500 to Rs 3000).

Lisa Jackson, Apple’s vice president for environment policy and social initiatives said, “Customers already have over 700 million lightning headphones and many customers have moved to a wireless experience with AirPods beats or other wireless headphones,”

She said that around 2 billion power adapters by Apple already exists, along with billions of 3rd party power adapters.

Instead, Apple will ship a new new Lightning power cable, which can fit into any USB-C power adapter, and charge the phone.

Does it makes sense? Yes, to a possible extent.

But loyal Apple fans didnt like it.
