Top 108MP camera phones? Upcoming 108MP camera phones in India? The 108MP camera craze is growing. Recently Motorola also brought in Edge+ with a 108-megapixel sensor. There are multiple smartphones lined up for 2021 who will be using the 108MP camera sensor.

Upcoming 108MP Camera Phones: Realme 8 Pro, Poco X4, Redmi Note 10 Pro, OnePlus 9 Pro, Poco F3 Pro, Galaxy S30, Note 12, Mi 11 Pro

Samsung will use the 108MP sensor for Galaxy S20 Ultra. Mi 11 series will also be powered by the 108MP camera sensor.

Not only premium phones, budget devices as Redmi Note 10 Pro, Realme 8 Pro and Poco X4 will also be using the same 108MP sensor as their primary camera. The top-end optical sensor will also power the next generation OnePlus phones, OnePlus 9 series, Galaxy S30 series, Redmi K40 Pro and more.

Redmi Note 10, Redmi Note 10 Pro

The upcoming Redmi Note 10 series could come as a massive upgrade over its predecessor. Redmi Note 10 10 and Redmi Note 10 Pro are said to come with the 108-megapixel camera. Redmi Note 10 could become the most affordable 108MP camera phone. Leaked by Digital Chat Station, the higher-end variant of the Redmi Note 10 will come with the latest Snapdragon 750G processor, 108-megapixel primary sensor, 4800mAh battery with 33W fast charging.

The report revealed that multiple Redmi Note 10 variants will launch, which will also include a budget Redmi Note 10 model with 48-megapixel main sensor running on MediaTek’s Dimensity 720 5G chipset.

Realme 8, Realme 8 Pro

The upcoming generation Realme series phones are said to come with 108MP camera sensors. The company recently unveiled Realme 7 series in the country, and the next generation Realme 8 and Realme 8 Pro may come by March 2021. The top-end Realme 8 Pro may come with the 108MP sensor as its primary camera. Both Realme 8 and Realme 8 Pro will see some substantial upgrades in terms of hardware.

The company is said to be working on a Realme 7 Pro+ model as well. It is tipped to come with the next-generation flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 875 chip, so the 108MP sensor could be a part of it as well.

Poco X4 

The next generation Poco X series smartphone, Poco X4 will probably feature a 108MP sensor as primary camera. The all-new Poco X3 didn’t come with much of any upgrade, but the upcoming Poco X4 could see some major changes including hardware, cameras and display. Finally we could see an AMOLED display on Poco X4 with a quad camera setup powered by the 108MP primary sensor.

Poco X4 launch will happen next year in the first quarter, and the latest upgrades will push the price. Poco X4 price in India will jump upto Rs 20,000. Poco X4 price may start at Rs 18,999 or Rs 19,999. 

Redmi K40 Pro / Poco F3 Pro

Redmi K30 Pro may come to India as Poco F2 Pro or Poco X2 Pro with Snapdragon 865 powering it. Though the launch has been delayed for long, we are still expecting it by 2020. As Redmi K30 Pro dons the latest Qualcomm flagship, the next generation Redmi K40 Pro will run on Snapdragon 875, which may come to India as Poco F3 Pro or Poco X3 Pro in 2021. Poco F3 Pro or Redmi K40 Pro will come with 108MP primary camera.

Redmi K40 Pro will come with 120Hz refresh rate display, multi camera setup, 12GB RAM, 5G connectivity and more. The device will be powered by Snapdragon 875.

Xiaomi Mi 11, Mi 11 Pro

Xiaomi Mi 10 series run on the latest Snapdragon 865, and the company is also bringing Mi 10 to India. Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro are powered by Snapdragon 865. Next year, the Mi 11 and Mi 11 Pro will be powered by the top Qualcomm chip, the Snapdragon 875. The names are yet to be confirmed, so they could be Mi 20 and Mi 20 Pro as well. Both Mi 11 and Mi 11 Pro will come with 108MP primary camera sensors.

Mi 10 series launched back in February. The next Mi flagships will happen in February 2021, and it will be among the first smartphones in the world to be powered by Snapdragon 875 SoC.

Samsung Galaxy S30, Galaxy S30+, Galaxy S30 Ultra

The upcoming Samsung Galaxy S130 series series will launch in early 2021, and it will have three devices under the series as the current S20 series: standard Galaxy S30, Galaxy S30+ and Galaxy S30+ Ultra. The Galaxy S30 series will come with upgraded internals and some slew changes on the out including the optics. The Galaxy S30 series will feature 108MP primary camera sensors.

Galaxy S30 series will be powered by Snapdragon 875 featuring Dynamic AMOLED panels with Quad HD+ resolution. It may continue with the box shaped modules for rear cameras with multiple sensors for different purposes. 

OnePlus 9, OnePlus 9 Pro

The OnePlus 8 series is already out, and now there’s OnePlus Z in the line with OnePlus 8T series later in the year. The company for the first time adopted a punch-hole design technology with the current Qualcomm chip under the hood. The OnePlus smartphones next year will be powered by Snapdragon 875, the OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro.

OnePlus 9 series may come with 108MP primary camera sensors. Both the OnePlus 9 smartphones will be powered by Snapdragon 875, expected to launch in mid-2021 globally, probably in April 2021.

Samsung Galaxy Note 12, Galaxy Note 12 Plus

Samsung Galaxy Note 12 series will come in 2021. Qualcomm Snapdragon 875 will power Note 12 and Note 12 Plus in the US, and the top-end similarly powered Exynos chip in other countries including India. Galaxy Note 12 series will have certain improvements over the current series alongside a 5G model. Galaxy Note 12 series will also have two models, a standard and a plus variant.

Coming to optics, Galaxy Note 12 is expected to have a multi camera setup with a quad or penta camera system powered by 108MP primary camera sensors.
