We are very sure by now you must be very well accustomed with the food stall ‘Baba Ka Dhaba’ in Delhi.

With a number of influential people and celebrities speaking about it and urging people to eat at the old duo’s food stall, some popular companies have now joined in and conveying their set of support to the Mattar Paneer stall.

The food aggregator company Zomato has now listed ‘Baba Ka Dhaba’ on its platform.

In a similar move, the dating app Tinder has also urged its users to visit Baba Ka Dhaba, as their next date spot.

Story behind ‘Baba Ka Dhaba’ Viral Video

The coronavirus pandemic has brought many small businesses to a standstill, of which restaurant and food industry is hit pretty bad.

 Amidst this crisis, food blogger Gaurav Wasan posted a video of the owner of a 30-year-old food stall in Malviya Nagar, New Delhi.

In the video, which shortly went viral, an 80-year-old Kanta Prasad shares how his wife and him are trying their hardest to make ends meet, reduced due to the pandemic.

He showed the dishes such as Dal, Paneer Matar and Aloo Soya which are reasonably priced in the range of Rs. 30 to 50.

He broke down into tears while showing his earnings of just Rs 70 per day.

Zomato and Tinder Promoting the Foot Stall

On reaching over 9 million views on Instagram in less than a day, ‘#BabakaDhaba’ was the most trending hashtag on Twitter.

Now, Zomato has listed the food joint on its platform, with the view that even those Delhites who cannot  visit the old duo’s stall can enjoy their delicious dishes, like Dal, Paneer Matar and Aloo Soya.

The food delivery platform informed that their delivery executives will be working with the duo to ensure their food deliveries.

Similarly, Tinder too via a tweet asked its couples to visit Baba Ka Dhaba for their next date. 

Several celebrities like Ravichandran Ashwin, Sonam K Ahuja, Suniel Shetty, Swara Bhasker, Randeep Hooda, among others shared the viral video.
