Design and Display
Redmi 9i features a 6.53-inch display with support for up to HD+ resolution with 20:9, 1500:1 contrast ratio, 19.5:9 aspect ratio, and 270 nits peak brightness. The smartphone has a splash-proof P2i coating and is TUV Rheinland certified. At the top of the screen, it has a waterdrop notch with slim bezels.
The Redmi 9i measures 164.9 × 77.07 × 9 mm and weighs 194 grams.
Redmi 9i comes in the color variants- Midnight Black, Sea Blue, and Nature Green. The smartphone has a polycarbonate body.
Hardware and Storage
Redmi 9i comes with the octa-core MediaTek Helio G25 SoC with 4 GB of RAM. The smartphone runs MIUI 12, based on Android 10.
Redmi 9i has two storage options mainly 64 GB storage variant and 128 GB storage variant. The storage can be expanded via a micro SD card (up to 512 GB).
Camera
Redmi 9i has a single 13-megapixel camera on the back with f/2.2 aperture at the rear. This camera has an AI scene detection lens that supports 32 different scenes.
On the front screen, the water-drop notch holds a 5-megapixel selfie camera. This AI-powered shooter features Portrait Mode.
Battery, Connectivity, Sensors
The Redmi 9i is backed by a 5,000mAh battery pack that supports 10W fast charging. It also comes with a compatible charger.
The Redmi 9i has VoWiFi, 4G, VoLTE, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS/ A-GPS, and a Micro-USB port for charging. The smartphone has sensors like a gyro sensor, proximity sensor, ambient light sensor, and e-compass.
Pricing and Availability
Redmi 9i’s 64 GB storage variant is priced at Rs. 8,299 and the 128 GB storage variant costs Rs. 9,299.
The Redmi 9i will go on sale starting September 18 at 12 PM IST on Flipkart, Mi.com, Mi Home stores, and Xiaomi partner offline retail stores.
