The Supreme Court has ruled that the students who are abroad and want to appear for the national eligibility test would be flown in under the Vande Bharat mission.
There has been a lot of confusion regarding the entrance exams, but it has been decided that the exams will take place as scheduled.

SC Tells Government To Accommodate Abroad Students On Vande Bharat Flights
The Supreme Court told the Government that students who are abroad and who want to appear for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) for the medical and dental courses should be flown into the country in the flights under the Vande Bharat mission.
The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test, NEET UG would be conducted on September 13, 2020, while the Joint Entrance Examination, JEE Main would be conducted between September 1-6.
However, this schedule has made it difficult for the students and parents who are living abroad as international flights have been suspended in view of the Coronavirus pandemic in India. But the Vande Bharat mission has been organized to repatriate the Indian nationals that are stranded on foreign soil.
A bench of three judges Justices L Nageswara Rao, Hemant Gupta and S Ravindra Bhat decided that the Centre should take care that students who are abroad and want to appear for the entrance tests should be flown into the country in time so that they can appear for the exam.
The court told Solicitor General Tushar Mehta, “Please communicate to the concerned ministries that these people may be allowed to come back for the exams.”
Online Entrance Examination Suggested To The Centre
Students had also requested that overseas centres for exams should be set up, which was discussed by the court.
The court suggested to the Medical Council Of India that “If the Joint Entrance Exam can be held online then you should consider NEET also to be held in an online form from next year.”
There have been multiple issues with the scheduling of the exam, with students and parents filing petitions to cancel the examination. However, the NTA has released a clarification confirming the same further stating that the examination cannot be postponed.
