Paytm Launches PoS Device; To Help Small Businesses With Digital Payments

As per the press note issued by Paytm, the company’s new smart PoS (Point of sale) device can be used to accept payments and process orders as well.

Paytm’s Scan to Order’ service also comes with the PoS service, which is being used by numerous restaurants and takeaway joints throughout India. Additionally, this device can also be used by delivery personnel, Kirana stores, small shopkeepers who can accept payments digitally on the move. 

Paytm has announced its plans to issue more than 2 lakh devices over the next few months and are estimating more than 20 million transactions per month. 

Renu Satti, senior vice president at Paytm said, “Our Paytm for Business app, Khata and payout services are providing the much-needed digitisation support to businesses to improve their efficiency and supporting them to join the Digital India mission.”

Paytm’s Online Portable Smart PoS To Be Integrated With ‘Paytm For Business’

This machine, the ‘Paytm All-in-One Portable Android Smart POS’, is launched for Rs. 499, which is the introductory monthly rental price. The device will weigh 163 grams with a thickness of 12 mm and will have a 4.5-inch touch screen. 

As per reports, the PoS device by Paytm has been integrated with the ‘Paytm for Business’ app which will help generate GST compliant bills. Along with this, the machine will also take care of all transactions and settlements for the business owner.

It will also have a powerful processor, a battery that will run all day, and an inbuilt camera that will scan QR codes and process payments. It will also have a Cloud-based software for billing, payments, and customer management as well.

The machine will reportedly work with 4G SIM cards, Wi-Fi and also has Bluetooth connectivity to make sure payments are carried out successfully.
