Mute Whatsapp Group Notifications Forever! Use Same Whatsapp Number On Multiple Phones

Popular social networking platform, Whatsapp now has plans to introduce two new features in its app. 

The first feature will finally help us get rid of those annoying group text notifications and the second feature will be where we can use Whatsapp on multiple devices with the same number.

WhatsApp’s New Feature: Group Notifications Can Be Muted Indefinitely

We all are victims of Whatsapp groups that we are stuck with and get countless notifications about the messages on it. However, Whatsapp has offered us a way out with this new feature. 

WABetaInfo, the account that tracks Whatsapp’s developments, has detected this new feature of Whatsapp in its newest 2.20.197.3 update. 

As per reports, the new feature will allow you to mute the group notifications indefinitely. As of now, the app allows us to mute the notifications on the group for 8 hours, 1 week or 1 year. The new feature will add one more option to this: ‘Always’. In fact, the one year option has been replaced by ‘Always’.

The feature is currently under development and is expected to be launched soon in the next few updates. 

Whatsapp Might Work With Same Phone Number In Multiple Devices

Whatsapp may probably introduce a feature where it will let us use Whatsapp across multiple devices with the same phone number. According to WABetaInfo, Whatsapp has introduced this feature as a hidden function in its Android beta. 

As of now, Whatsapp allows you to use the app on your phone and on your laptop through Whatsapp Web. however, it requires both the devices to have an internet connection.

As per reports, this function allows you to use the app on four different devices with the same phone number.

Apparently, the app has launched a menu called Linked Devices which will allow you to manage and add devices linked to the number that you have registered with Whatsapp.

This feature is currently under development and there is no news about when it will be officially launched for users. When the feature will be launched, it will allow you to use Whatsapp even if your phone is out of battery or doesn’t have an internet connection.
