US Govt Bans All International Students Of Online Classes; No Legal Status Will Be Given

Once again, President Trump and US Govt have unleashed a war against international students, who wish to study in their country.

Once again, an unnecessary, and totally irrelevant step has been taken, which has no visible advantages to US Govt, and will end up destroying thousands and thousands of dreams.

US Govt has once again banned all International students who are opting for online-only courses.

Online-Only Courses? Sorry, You Are Banned

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has announced that all international students are banned, if they enroll into online-only classes this fall, and rest of the year.

This means that if any international student has already paid for a college, and if that college is conducting only online classes this year, then their visa will be canceled.

In their press release, ICE said, “Nonimmigrant students in new or initial status after March 9 will not be able to enter the U.S. to enroll in a U.S. school as a nonimmigrant student for the fall term to pursue a full course of study that is 100 percent online,”

Why This Is Bad News For International Students?

Primarily, this is a bad news for all international students, since 80-90% colleges and Universities are expected to be closed this year, and only online-courses will be conducted,

However, since students have already paid for their courses, in some cases even before the pandemic hit the world, they are now left stranded.

They wont be able to enter US, and will have to study online from India, rather than from America.

No Legal Status For International Students

Besides, US Govt has ordered all school and college officials not to issue I-20 form, which confirms the legal status for International students.

In case a student wants to learn via online classes from their native country, then they wont be legal American student.

We will keep you updated, as more details come in.
