Design, Build

OnePlus Nord features a mix of glass and metal with curved sides. OnePlus Nord feels sturdy and premium, and it’s glossy on the out with a vertical camera strip on the top right corner. In comparison, OnePlus 7T features a triple-camera system inside a circular design packed in a frosted matte finish layer.

The OnePlus 7T body is a mix of glass and feels more metallic on the out. Both OnePlus 7T and OnePlus Nord features super smooth 90Hz display.

Display

OnePlus Nord features a 6.44-inch AMOLED Full HD+ display offering a 90Hz refresh rate with a dual punch-hole on the left corner alongside a touch sampling rate of 180Hz for gaming with an in-display fingerprint sensor beneath.

OnePlus 7T comes with the same 90Hz Fluid AMOLED screen as OnePlus 7 Pro. OnePlus 7T has a water drop notch while the new Nord has a punch-hole display as OnePlus 8 series. 

Hardware, Storage

OnePlus 7T runs on Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Plus chip. It has new Kryo cores clocked up to 2.96 GHz with improved GPU performance upto 15 percent. OnePlus 7T comes with the same UFS 3.1 storage as predecessor with 8GB of RAM and utp 256GB of internal storage.

OnePlus Nord is powered by mid-range Qualcomm 5G chip, the Snapdragon 765G.

The chip pairs with 6GB RAM with 64GB storage, 8GB with 128GB storage and 12GB RAM with 256GB storage.

Software, UI

Both the the devices run on Android 10 out of the box with OxygenOS. OnePlus 7T was the first smartphone in the world to come with Android 10 out of the box back in September 2019.  The latest OxygenOS comes with multiple upgrades and optimisations.

It offers improved animations, visuals, unlocking speeds, app switches, enhanced control in landscape mode and more. 

Camera, Photography

OnePlus 7T features a triple-camera system in a circular unit comprising of a 48MP main sensor, 16MP ultra-wide sensor with a 117-degree field of view and a third 2X telephoto camera. OnePlus 7T also supports macro shots from as close as 2.5cm.

OnePlus 7T rear camera can shoot 4K video up to 60fps and super slow motion up to 960fps. 

In terms of optics, OnePlus Nord will come with a quad-camera set-up featuring a 48-megapixel Sony IMX 586 main sensor with an f/1.75 lens with Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS) + Electronic Image Stabilisation (EIS) support.

The setup further includes a 8-megapixel ultrawide lens with 119 field-of-view (FOV), a 5-megapixel macro lens with an f/2.4 aperture, and 2-megapixel depth sensor unit. Upfront, the OnePlus Nord features dual cameras: 32-megapixel main sensor with 8-megapixel depth sensor.

Battery, Fast Charging

OnePlus Nord houses a 4,115mAh battery with 30W fast charging support (Warp 30T). OnePlus 7T smartphone was the first OnePlus device to be introduced with the Warp Charge 30T technology, which is 23 percent faster than the previous OnePlus 7 Pro’s Warp 30 charging technology.

OnePlus 7T packs a slightly larger smaller 3,800mAh battery. Warp 30T charger can juice up OnePlus 7T from 5% to 100% in one hour and 20 minutes.

OnePlus 7T new price in India price starts at Rs 34,999 for the 8GB – 128GB model. The OnePlus 7T 8GB – 256 GB model now costs Rs 37,999 in India. OnePlus price in India starts at Rs 24,999. There will be three variants. OnePlus Nord price for the 64GB model is set at Rs 24,999, Rs 27,999 for the 128GB model and 256GB model for Rs 29,999.
