On the first anniversary of the Hector SUV, MG Motors has launched a new six seater car, Hector Plus, pitting it against the Toyota Innova Crysta, Mahindra XUV500 and the upcoming Tata Gravitas.

The Hector Plus is a definite upgrade from the previous version of the SUV, Hector, and it’ll also belong to an upper segment in terms of price.

MG Motors Launches The Six Seater Hector Plus; Upgrade Of The Hector SUV

The newly launched Hector Plus will be a step ahead of the old version of the Hectors SUV where practicality and price is concerned.

While the Hector was a five seater car, the Hector Plus will come with an additional seat, which will be placed as an extra row with captain seats for middle occupants. There are also rumours that the company will be launching a seven seater version which will have a bench seat. 

Some of the leaked pictures of the car revealed that the Hector Plus will have tan coloured upholstery that appears quite plush. 

The car will also sport an automatic tailgate. 

Hector Plus: Specifications, Features, Price

Similar to the previous version, Hector Plus will come with a 10.4-inch infotainment system, an Infinity sound system, a panoramic sunroof, ambient lighting, and power front seats. Some other safety features on the car will be 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, front and rear parking sensors, a 360-degree camera and electronic stability control.

The car will be powered by diesel, petrol, and a hybrid engine. The petrol engine will be of 1.5 liters capacity with a rating of 143 PS. The hybrid engine of the car will be of the capacity of 1.5 liters and the power output will be 143 PS too. The diesel engine will come with a capacity of 2.0 liters with an output of 170 PS. 

Both the diesel engine and the hybrid engine will be mated to a 6-speed manual transmission, whereas, the petrol engine will come with a DCT only. 

As for the price, the car will come at Rs 13.49 lakh (ex-showroom) for four variants.
