There has been new news involved in the results declaration of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) board exams for Class 10 and Class 12.
The board asserted that this year, it will not release any merit list for 10th and 12th board exams, justifying that the decision shall have no meaning.
No Merit List This Year for CBSE Board Exam Results?
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic outbreak, the CBSE board has decided to not release any merit list for its board exams, saying that it has no meaning.
Instead, the senior education board has come with a different evaluation method for calculating the results, however it is safe to say that there has been no final decision taken yet.
Just as stated initially by us, it is expected that CBSE announces the results for 10th and 12th exams before July 15.
What about Students with Pending CBSE Exams?
The Supreme Court last month, had accepted a draft notification issued by the CBSE regarding the assessment scheme for the board examinations cancelled for Class 10 and Class 12.
In fact, the senior board had to cancel exams of some pending subjects, due to growing cases of coronavirus infected patients in the country.
In fact, CBSE stated that few students of 10th standard, mainly from Delhi have appeared in just 1 or 2 subjects’ exams.
For such students, results will be assessed based upon their results in these subjects they’ve appeared for, along with their performance in internal/practical project assessment.
CBSE will conduct an optional exam for these students, giving them a chance to improve their results. This optional exam shall be conducted in a much more conducive situation.
“Results of these students will also be declared along with other students,” said the draft notification submitted in the Supreme Court.
Where Can Students Check their Results and Download all the Documents?
The results can be obtained from the website ‘cbseresults.nic.in’, whenever they are announced.
As stated by CBSE, students can download their digital marksheet online, along with other important documents.
These digital academic documents shall include:
- Marksheets for class 10th and 12th board exams,
- Migration Certificate and
- Passing Certificate
These academic documents will be available on CBSE’s own academic repository ‘Parinam Manjusha’, which is integrated with DigiLocker at digilocker.gov.in.
The credentials for the DigiLocker account have been already sent out to students via SMS on their mobile number registered with CBSE.
Students can alternatively also check their results on the Umang?App.
