Redmi Note 9 India launch confirmed. Xiaomi has officially confirmed the Redmi Note 9 launch in India. The device was previously spotted on WiFi Alliance. Xiaomi in India till now has unveiled two smartphones under Redmi Note 9 series: Redmi Note 9 Pro and Redmi Note 9 Pro Max.
The company could bring the budget Redmi Note 9 in India at around Rs 12,000 in the mid-budget category.
Redmi Note 9 will be available exclusively via Amazon India and Mi online store. Redmi Note 9 will run on mid-range MediaTek Helio G85 chipset, a large 5,020mAh battery with 18W fast-charging support boasting a punch-hole designed display.

Redmi Note 9 features a 6.53-inch IPS LCD Full HD+ display with a punch-hole cutout upfront, but on the corner unlike the Redmi Note 9 series. Redmi Note 9 is powered by Helio G85 chipset, the first smartphone to run on the new MediaTek chip.
At the back, Redmi Note 9 packs square shaped quad camera design.
The four camera setup on Redmi Note 9 sports a primary 48-megapixel sensor, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera, a 2-megapixel depth camera and a 2-megapixel macro camera.
Redmi Note 9 runs on Android 10 with MIUI 11 on top. Redmi Note 9 houses a 5,020mAh battery as Note 9 Pro and Note 9 Pro Max with support for 18W fast charging. The 18W fast charger will ship with the device.

Redmi Note 8 was launched starting at Rs 9,999, and now it starts at Rs 11,999, a Rs 2,000 jump.
So, the successor Redmi Note 9 India price may start somewhere close to it, could either be Rs 11,999 or Rs 12,499 for the base model.
