Once again, reports have emerged that Indian Railways will kickstart around 15-20 new trains from New Delhi, which will have 120-days booking period and tatkal booking option.

Some of these trains will be via Delhi as well.

Meanwhile, Railways have reported that more and more migrants from UP, Bihar, Chhattisgarh and Jharkhand are now travelling towards the metros, which means that economic activity is picking up!

Tentative List Of New Trains From New Delhi

As per Hindi daily Hindustan, Indian Railways is all set to launch new trains from New Delhi, and via New Delhi, which will cover all the important cities in India.

The tentative list of new trains to be launched are:

Trains from Delhi

New Delhi-Amritsar

Old Delhi- Ferozepur

Delhi Sarai Rohilla-Porbandar

Delhi-Bhagalpur

New Delhi-Chandigarh

Delhi-Ghazipur City Train to Ballia

Jodhpur-Delhi

Kamakhya-Delhi

Dibrugarh-New Delhi

Gorakhpur-Delhi

Indore-New Delhi

Muzaffarpur-Anand Vihar, this train will go to Old Delhi

Habibganj-New Delhi

Lucknow-New Delhi

Madhupur-Old Delhi

Trains via Delhi

Kota-Dehradun-Nanda Devi

When Will These Trains Start?

As of now, Railways officials are studying the demand, and the traffic of passengers, and based on that, a decision will be taken soon.

The spread of Covid-19, along with safety precautions are also being considered.

It seems that a decision will be taken in the next 10-15 days.

A Railways official said, “Keeping all these things in view–requirement of trains, occupancy, status of covid-19 spread…we are in process of finalizing list of trains. In the coming weeks, or 10 days we will be finalizing more trains, depending on these requirements,”

Tatkal Booking, 120-Days Bookings, 90 Mins Prior Arrival

As per the reports, all these new special trains will have the facility of Tatkal booking, along with 120-day advance booking period.

Both online and on-the-counter tickets will be allowed.

Besides, the passengers will be required to arrive 90 minutes before the departure of the trains, so that proper sanitization is done of the passengers, as well as their luggage.

As of now, 115 pairs of trains or 230 special trains are already running. Trains with normal schedules are suspended till August 12th.
