80 Crore Indians Will Get Free Food For 5 Months; One Ration Card For Entire India Coming Up

Prime minister Narendra Modi addressed the nation yesterday regarding the coronavirus disease and the situation in our country. He also introduced some rules that will be implemented for the Unlock 2 regime. 

He also said that imposing a lockdown in the country in a timely manner helped keep the number of cases of the infected patients in check

PM Narendra Modi revealed that despite the number of Coronavirus patients is on a steep hike, the lack of seriousness among the public is startling. He noted that the citizens haven’t been taking the safety measures seriously which is not apt for the current situation. Washing hands, using sanitizers, maintaining social distancing isn’t being followed anymore, which is a serious matter and will lead to more people falling prone to the disease.

He has also asked the citizens of India to be extra vigilant now that there will be monsoons across the country. 

Another important thing he announced was that 80 crore people were given 5 kg ration for free and 1 kg of dal (cereal) per month free of cost and the same 80 crore people would be receiving free food grains till the festive season of Diwali and Chhath Puja, which is till the end of November.  

PM Modi To Launch One Nation, One Ration Card Scheme

In the last few months, farmers were given an amount of Rs. 18000 crore which was transferred directly into their accounts. The PM Gareeb Kalyan Rozgar Yojana was launched for the migrants. 

As per the PM, the Government will soon be launching a One Nation One Ration Card scheme, which will supposedly benefit the migrant workers and their families too.

He said that there is no one above the rules and regulations and that this is a drive to protect 130 crore people  of the country. He said, “be it a village pradhan or the Prime Minister, no one is above the law in India.”
